Boom!

Pilaf's robot was shattered by the Kamehameha and exploded.

"Ah!"

Pilaf let out a loud scream as pieces of the exploding robot crushed him to the ground.

Sun Wukong and Bulma saw this and immediately headed into the castle to take Pilaf's Dragon Ball.

Afterward, the two left Pilaf's castle and went to an uninhabited mountain.

Bulma placed the seven Dragon Balls together.

The seven Dragon Balls instantly began to shine brightly.

"Come forth, Shenron! Grant my wish!"

With a nervous look on her face, Bulma recited the words to summon Shenron.

The next second, the entire sky over the earth suddenly darkened.

A golden bolt of lightning shot out of the Dragon Balls and transformed into an enormous blue-green dragon.

Since it was her first time seeing Shenron, his appearance was rather frightening, and Bulma instinctively took a few steps back.

"State your wish. Any wish can be granted, but only one!"

Bulma glanced at Sun Wukong.

"Then I want a Gravity Room!"

"Very well! No problem!"

Shenron's eyes flashed red, and a Hoi-Poi Capsule appeared in Bulma's hand.

"Your wish has been granted. Until we meet again!"

As soon as Shenron finished speaking, he turned into seven stone Dragon Balls, which scattered across the earth.

"Goku, here!"

Bulma handed the Hoi-Poi Capsule in her hand to Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong nodded and accepted the Hoi-Poi Capsule.

"Bulma, why did you make that wish?"

"Let's just say... it's my way of thanking you for helping me before!"

"Is that so?"

"So, Goku, where are you planning to go next? Want to look around West City?"

"I promised Chi-Chi I'd go to her place, but since you've invited me, I'll visit West City first!"

"Chi-Chi! Don't tell me you've fallen for her?"

"No, I was just thinking about the feast. There should be lots of food!"

"Food? Then I'll treat you to a big meal when we get to West City!"

"Okay!"

Two days later.

Bulma brought Sun Wukong back to her home.

"So this is your house?"

Sun Wukong looked at the yard, which resembled a park, and asked.

"Yep!"

As they were talking, a blue-eyed blonde woman came out.

She was Bulma's mother, Mrs. Brief.

"Bulma, you're back!"

Mrs. Brief greeted Bulma with a smile.

"Mm!"

"And who's this?"

"His name is Sun Wukong. He's a friend of mine!"

"Don't tell me he's your boyfriend?"

Mrs. Brief teased.

Bulma ignored her and continued leading Sun Wukong farther inside.

Just then, they ran into Dr. Brief, who was wearing a white lab coat.

"Bulma, you're back!"

"Mm!"

"And who's this?"

"He's my friend, Sun Wukong!"

"Your boyfriend?"

Bulma glared at him.

Her parents were being ridiculous. How could she possibly get a boyfriend who was so much younger than her? At the very least... they could talk about it when he grew up!

"No!"

After saying that, Bulma led Sun Wukong away.

At noon, Bulma had someone bring over a large spread of delicious food, and Sun Wukong ate his fill.

That afternoon, Sun Wukong wanted to train, so he said goodbye and left Bulma's house.

The only reason Sun Wukong had come to West City this time was to thank Bulma for using Shenron to wish for a Gravity Room.

Half an hour later, Sun Wukong returned to Mount Paozu.

He activated the Hoi-Poi Capsule containing the Gravity Room and tossed it onto the open ground beside his house.

With a puff of white smoke, the Gravity Room appeared in the clearing.

Sun Wukong went over, opened the Gravity Room's door, and walked inside.

The Gravity Room was spacious, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, sofa, and all kinds of furniture.

At the very back of the house was a room that looked like a training room.

That room was the Gravity Room.

Its floor was covered with "red bricks," and it looked much like the Gravity Room from the anime.

Sun Wukong walked over to the gravity control switch.

There were three buttons on it. The two buttons on one side had plus and minus signs beneath them, while the other had no symbol at all.

Sun Wukong tried pressing the plus button. The machine's display immediately showed the number one.

Sun Wukong instantly felt his body grow much heavier.

"Good. I'll start training at one times gravity!"

After saying that, Sun Wukong immediately began to train.

Time flew by, and seven months passed in the blink of an eye.

During those seven months, aside from one trip to Chi-Chi's place, Sun Wukong spent almost all his time training in the Gravity Room.

By now, his power had reached over a thousand.

Compared to before, his strength had increased tenfold.

Today was the day of the World Martial Arts Tournament, so Sun Wukong left Mount Paozu early in the morning and went to Bulma's house.

"Goku!"

Sun Wukong nodded.

"Bulma, do you know where the World Martial Arts Tournament is being held?"

"Of course! I was wondering why you'd come to my house. So you didn't know where the tournament was!"

Bulma laughed.

"Take a seat. We'll go together in a bit. I'm going to watch you compete anyway!"

"Okay!"

Sun Wukong nodded.

Half an hour later, Bulma changed into casual clothes and drove Sun Wukong to the World Martial Arts Tournament venue.

By the time they arrived, the venue was packed with people, and the contestants registering for the World Martial Arts Tournament were lined up in a long queue.

"So many people have signed up. Looks like you'll have to wait a while!"

Sun Wukong nodded.

"Goku!"

Just then, a voice called out from behind them.

Sun Wukong turned around and saw Master Roshi wearing a blue suit.

Beside him stood a little bald monk dressed in the same kind of suit.

That little bald monk was Krillin.

Seven months earlier, Krillin had left his old temple and gone to Turtle Hermit Island to become Master Roshi's student.

Although he had gone through a few setbacks, he had ultimately succeeded in becoming his student.

"Master Roshi!"

"Perverted old man!"

Because of what had happened at Fried Bread Mountain, Bulma had a very poor impression of Master Roshi.

Master Roshi nodded and brought Krillin over to the two of them.

"Long time no see, Miss Bulma!"

Bulma snorted and said nothing.

Master Roshi didn't get angry. Instead, he began introducing Sun Wukong to Krillin.

"Krillin, this is Senior Brother Sun Wukong, the one I often tell you about!"

"Goku, this is my new disciple. His name is Krillin!"

"Hello, Senior Brother Sun Wukong!"

Krillin greeted him respectfully.

"Hello!"

Sun Wukong replied indifferently.

This senior brother looks about the same age as me. I wonder how strong he is.

Krillin thought to himself.

"Goku, have you registered?"

"I just got here. I haven't had a chance to register yet!"

"Is that so? Then shall we register together in a bit?"

"Okay!"
