Three-Eyed Star

"I see that the star your planet revolves around is already nearing the end of its life, isn't it?" Son Gohan asked.

"That's right. May I ask what brings you here, sir?" Sky-Eye King became interested when he heard Gohan voice the concern weighing on his mind.

"To be frank, I came for the Thunder Steel that will be born after the star collapses and dies!" Son Gohan stated his purpose plainly.

"Then I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you. It will be at least ten years before the star dies!" Sky-Eye King wasn't angered by the request. After all, the star really was nearing the end of its life.

"That's exactly why I came to you!"

"Could it be that you intend to...?" Sky-Eye King was startled again.

"That's right. I'm short on time, and ten years is too long!" Son Gohan replied calmly.

"Hmph, impossible! My people haven't found a suitable place to live yet. If you destroy the star now, how are we supposed to survive? We're doomed either way, so if you insist on destroying it, you'll make enemies of the eight billion members of the Three-Eyed God Clan. We'll fight you to the death!" Sky-Eye King flew into a rage, his fighting spirit flaring once more. Even if he couldn't beat Son Gohan, he wouldn't simply surrender.

"The Three-Eyed God Clan fears no death! If you want to destroy our star, you'll have to step over our corpses!" Left Minister stepped forward.

"That's right! Left Minister, this is the first time we've agreed on something!" Right Minister also stepped forward.

"Calm down. I think we can talk this out!" Just as their fighting spirit was surging, Grand Elder suddenly spoke up.

"Grand Elder, are you asking us to submit?" The two Ministers stared at him in disbelief.

"Bullshit! I've lived this long, and I'm nearing the end of my life. Do you think I'm afraid to die?" Grand Elder cursed angrily.

"Enough. Let's hear what Grand Elder has to say!" Sky-Eye King was angry too, but he chose to trust Grand Elder.

"Forgive an old man for calling you a young friend. Since you came to negotiate with us, I presume you have a solution, don't you? May I ask your name?" Grand Elder cupped his hands in greeting.

Seeing Grand Elder's gesture, Son Gohan felt a trace of goodwill stir in his heart. Everything about this planet reminded him strongly of Earth in his previous life.

Grand Elder's traditional greeting especially reminded him of China's imperial dynasties.

"You can call me Son Gohan. I'm a hybrid from Earth!" Son Gohan didn't hide where he came from.

At the same time, he made the tail wrapped around his waist appear.

"A hybrid of an Earthling and a Saiyan!"

"Saiyan... Frieza's dog!" The two Ministers spoke at the same time.

"Mind your manners! You two, shut up!" Grand Elder scolded them.

"It's fine. Saiyans did serve as Frieza's dogs, but that was in the past. There aren't many Saiyans left now. And I'm a hybrid born on Earth. My father was a Saiyan, and my mother was an Earthling." Son Gohan didn't care at all about what the two had said.

It had nothing to do with him, anyway!

"Young friend Gohan, we still haven't found a suitable place to live. Could you wait until we do before destroying the star?" Grand Elder made his first request.

"No."

Before they could get angry, Son Gohan continued, "But I can help you find a new planet!"

"Cough, cough!" Sky-Eye King began coughing at once. He'd been ready to lose his temper, but now he had to swallow it.

"Young friend, you shouldn't leave people hanging like that," Grand Elder complained.

"You called me a young friend. You can see I'm still a kid, right? There's nothing wrong with a kid having a little fun." Son Gohan didn't care about their complaints at all.

Since Grand Elder had played the old man, he'd play the kid. Son Gohan certainly had a mischievous streak and a taste for revenge!

You kick me, and I'll stab you right back!

"Cough, cough... I was out of line!"

"May I ask what you mean by helping us find a new place to live?" Sky-Eye King asked, picking up the conversation to ease the awkwardness.

"Before I came, I considered what I'd do. If you were a violent race, I'd destroy this planet along with you. If you were a friendly race, I'd go out of my way to help. Since I'm offering now, that means I'm willing to help." Son Gohan spoke as if it were nothing.

But everyone present was breaking out in a cold sweat!

Fortunately, they hadn't attacked. Otherwise, their people would have faced extinction long before the star died!

"Besides, the power I showed just now was nowhere near my full strength!"

"Nowhere near? How much stronger?" Sky-Eye King's eyes widened.

"About fifty times stronger than the power I just showed, I suppose. It's not that much." Son Gohan waved his hand.

Listen to him... what a show-off!

"I believe you have the strength to destroy our planet. Since that's the case, please help us find a new home, sir!" Sky-Eye King no longer dared to talk about fighting to the death.

You could only speak of fighting to the death when the difference in strength wasn't too great!

To talk about fighting to the death now would be like carrying a lantern into an outhouse—looking for death!

"Your planet's technology seems quite advanced. You must be able to measure the star's lifespan, so I assume you've already prepared to evacuate, haven't you?" Son Gohan asked.

"That's right. A thousand years ago, the Ninth Three-Eyed King began making preparations and started building spaceships. By now, we've built enough to evacuate all eight billion Three-Eyed Aliens. We've also preserved many plants and animals and created a complete ecosystem." Grand Elder revealed their preparations without hesitation.

"That makes things much easier! Have you heard of North Kai?" Son Gohan asked.

"Historical records say that North Kai governs the entire North Galaxy. Of course we've heard of him!" Sky-Eye King answered immediately.

"In a sense, he's my master. I can ask him to help find an uninhabited planet suitable for you to live on. How about moving there yourselves?" Son Gohan offered a solution.

"Then we really can't thank you enough. To be honest, over the past thousand years, we've explored many planets. Some had harsh environments and couldn't support life; others already had inhabitants. We didn't want to start a war!" Sky-Eye King said happily.

"That's right. If you hadn't come, we were planning to look for a planet to buy from the Frieza Force!" Left Minister chimed in.

"Frieza? You're in contact with him?" Son Gohan frowned.

"We haven't contacted him yet, but we had plans to before you arrived," Left Minister said.

"I'd advise you not to. To him, the Three-Eyed Tribe would be another race he could use to conquer the stars. The Saiyans are proof of that. And I can tell you with certainty that Frieza personally destroyed Planet Vegeta. I wasn't born on Planet Vegeta, but my blood makes him my sworn enemy. If you choose to befriend him, you'll be my enemy." Son Gohan's face was full of murderous intent, and his presence alone was intimidating.

"We won't, we won't. We don't want to deal with him unless we have no other choice, and now we have your help!" Grand Elder hurriedly replied.

"Good. Make your preparations. I'll go to King Kai's Planet and ask King Kai to find a suitable planet for you." With that, Son Gohan used Instant Transmission and vanished.

Sky-Eye King also issued an urgent order, summoning all the people to prepare for the evacuation!

They'd held drills long ago, but when the moment to leave actually came, Three-Eyed Star was still in chaos. Still, they were all members of the same race, so nothing serious happened.
