Background / History

Ye Ming was an orphan and Dragon Ball fan in his original world. After being struck by lightning while watching Dragon Ball Super, he died and was offered three identities by the System: a God of Destruction's body and power, a God of Destruction's identity and power, or Vegito's body and power. He chose Vegito and entered a Dragon Ball Super timeline where Son Goku had only reached Super Saiyan 3. 1

Upon arriving, Ye Ming recognized the universe as dangerous due to beings such as the Gods of Destruction, Angels, the Grand Priest, and Zeno. The System granted him survival capability in the Dragon Ball universe and Instant Transmission. He later learned that his System-enhanced Vegito body possessed greater potential and bloodline power than the Vegito native to that timeline. 1

His first major training period took place in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Son Goku. Though inexperienced, Ye Ming rapidly adapted to Goku's techniques, unlocked Super Saiyan Full Power and Super Saiyan, and defeated Goku in their final beam struggle. Ye Ming fought Son Goku and Vegeta together at the Sacred World of the Kai, forcing them to use the Potara Earrings and become Vegito. He defeated the fusion, then proposed living on Earth so that Goku and Vegeta could continue training with him. 4 5

After three years of training with Goku, Ye Ming confronted Beerus to protect Earth. Their battle escalated to the point that Whis had to reverse time to prevent universal destruction. During the Universe 6 tournament, Ye Ming became Universe 7's decisive fighter against AF Son Goku. Ye Ming's ordinary appearance is not described in detail. Before meeting the Z Fighters, he asked the System to reshape his appearance so that his resemblance to Vegito would not create unnecessary trouble. 1
