• Yao Yan defeated Huang Tian and captured the Dragon Kings and Heaven Demon Phoenix experts, then traded the prisoners for pills and the Nine Dragons Lightning Flame.
• Yao Yan absorbed the captured Dou Shengs’ blood essence, reached mid Five-Star Dou Sheng, and returned to the Soul Clan for his engagement to Gu Xun'er.
• At the Gu Clan ceremony, the clan leaders agreed to support Yao Yan’s chance to become Dou Di, while Gu Xun'er promised to stand by him even if he broke with her clan.

Yao Yan strengthened himself by claiming the Life Ancient Tree and Bodhi Ancient Tree, then entered the struggle for the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame. After the Flame’s emergence and the destruction of the Demon Flame Space’s World Gate, he gathered thirteen Exotic Flames and began refining its Origin.

• Yao Yan claimed the weakened Life Ancient Tree after the Spirit Clan’s destruction, reunited with Xiao Yi Xian and Qing Lin, and moved the Nine Serene Yellow Springs into the Heavenly Tomb.
• Yao Yan obtained the Purification Lotus Demon Saint’s Heaven Deceiving Art and took the corrupted Bodhi Ancient Tree into the Heavenly Tomb, where Xiao Yi Xian and Qing Lin cultivated beneath it.
• Yao Yan reshaped his body around the Chaos Embryo, planted the Life Ancient Tree Seed in the Heavenly Tomb, and later helped Cai Lin and Cai Die advance in strength.

The arc ended with Yao Yan fighting the Lei and Yan Clan leaders as Hun Tiandi’s forces attacked the clans and Nihility Devouring Flame targeted their undefended people.

• Yao Yan devoured the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame and refined the Demon Flame Space with Gu Xun'er’s help, reaching Eight Star Dou Sheng Peak before leaving with her.
• Yao Yan defeated Yan Jin and took his exotic flames as Hun Tiandi maneuvered the clans against Gu Yuan and Nihility Devouring Flame stole the Emperor Jades.
• Hun Tiandi captured Yao Yan and used Xiao Chen and Xiao Ning’s souls to search for the missing Tou She Ancient God Jade, while Yao Yan later sought help from Zhu Kun.
• Yao Yan reached Nine Star Dou Sheng with Zhu Kun’s essence blood, returned the Xiao Clan’s Emperor Jade, and reunited with Yun Yun before Gu Xun'er recovered the Jade.
