Age 734.

Planet Vegeta, inside the nursery.

"Dabu, check the power level on this one," a Toad Head alien recording data asked his companion, who was wearing a scouter over his ear.

"Beep! Beep!"

"Power level 10. Looks like another piece of trash destined for exile," Dabu said, tapping his scouter twice while looking at Reke with disdain.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed? If those savage Saiyans hear you, are you planning to drag me to the grave with you? Keep your mouth shut."

The Toad Head was startled by his companion's words. He nervously scanned his surroundings, and only after realizing they were alone in the nursery did he let out a long breath and snap at his companion.

The look on his face suggested he would have swallowed his companion whole if he could; had he possessed the authority, he would have finished him off right then and there.

He decided that this brainless fool would eventually be the death of him, and he made up his mind to request a shift change as soon as they returned—he would never work with this idiot again.

It was no wonder the Toad Head was so jumpy; on Planet Vegeta, their status was so low that being killed by a Saiyan for the slightest slip-up was a common occurrence.

"I know," Dabu replied, feeling a lingering sense of fear.

"Fine, fine. Let's finish the registration and get out of here before we run into any Saiyans."

Seeing his companion's expression, the Toad Head could only urge him on with impatience.

Once the two opened the hatch and left, Reke slowly opened his eyes.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch. Damn it, I shouldn't have drunk so much yesterday. I hope I'm not late for work today," Reke muttered, shaking his head in pain.

As soon as the words left his mouth, Reke realized something was wrong.

His entire body was submerged in nutrient fluid, no sound came out, and he realized the environment around him was completely off.

He turned his head to look left and right.

Rows upon rows of infants were soaking in incubation pods; it looked exactly like a human laboratory.

Reke was stunned, a chill running through his heart.

I just went out for a drink, so how did I end up in a lab?

Who the hell did this? I remember Little Zhou taking me home, didn't he?

Reke's questions piled up one after another, his brain still unable to recover from the previous day's hangover.

He closed his eyes in disbelief, and just as a wave of exhaustion hit him, his infant body couldn't handle the strain, and he drifted into a deep sleep.

He didn't know how much time had passed before Reke woke up again.

He stared blankly at the rows of infants, his heart completely sinking.

It turned out he hadn't been dreaming; not only was it real, but he had actually turned into an infant himself, living inside an incubation pod.

He looked at the infant in the opposite pod, and the more he looked, the more wrong it felt.

As for what was wrong, the infant opposite him not only had a thick head of long hair but also a furry tail growing from its backside.

The tail twitched every now and then; it was clearly not just a decoration.

The more he looked, the more familiar it seemed—it was exactly like the Saiyans from the anime Dragon Ball he had watched.

"Damn, no way. Are they really Saiyans?" Reke wondered, beginning to examine himself.

He discovered that he also had a tail growing from his backside, and it moved according to his will.

He grabbed his tail with his chubby little hands, a sense of strangeness washing over him, and for a moment, he didn't know what to do.

As he sat there in a daze, another wave of exhaustion hit him. Startled, he fought the sleepiness to look down at his lower body, and upon finding his little "equipment" still intact, he let out a massive sigh of relief.

He stopped fighting it; knowing he was still an infant and needed to sleep, he decided to think about everything else the next time he woke up.

Meanwhile, elsewhere.

After the two Toad Heads finished registering the batch of newborns, they went to report to the Saiyan in charge.

"My lord, these are the power level statistics for this batch of newborns," the Toad Head said respectfully, handing the instrument to a burly man wearing battle armor with a tail wrapped around his waist.

The man took the device without even looking at it and stared at the Toad Head, asking, "How many mid-level warriors are in this batch?"

"My lord, none. The highest power level does not exceed 30," the Toad Head replied, his heart trembling.

"Damn it, another batch of trash. Send them all out in two years." The man glared at the Toad Head, a flash of murderous intent crossing his mind.

He had just returned from a planet he was about to conquer for the sake of this trash, and the more he thought about it, the more annoyed he became. Looking at the two men in front of him, he prepared to kill them just to satisfy his urge for violence.

But remembering they still had their uses, he suppressed his killing intent, gave a few instructions, and walked away without looking back.

That was how Saiyans were; they only cared about slaughter and combat, especially since they had come under Frieza's command.

They were either in the middle of a slaughter or on their way to one.

The entire race was immersed in the pleasure of killing, and not a single one of them felt that anything was wrong. To them, things like family and love were dispensable.

For a Saiyan, if you weren't a mid-level warrior, you were trash. Whether or not you would return from a mission was an unknown, so they didn't care at all.

In the Saiyan grading system, power levels of 1-30 were low-level warriors, 31-100 were mid-level warriors, and 101-500 were high-level warriors.

Low-level warriors couldn't even control themselves after transforming into Great Apes, so it was no wonder the burly man looked down on them.

After extensive training, mid-level warriors can retain a portion of their sanity after transforming into Great Apes, whereas high-level warriors require no training at all, as they are born with the ability to maintain their reason.

The footsteps of the large man grew fainter and fainter until they vanished entirely, at which point Toad Head and his companion slowly lifted their heads.

Wiping the cold sweat from their brows, they felt a wave of relief wash over them.

Neither dared to delay any longer; they hurried back to the control console to set the assignments for this batch of newborns.

For the next two years, Reke and the others would remain in the nursery, and once those two years had passed, they would be dispatched to low-level planets to carry out conquest missions.

Reke woke up once again.

The mere thought that he had transmigrated into the Dragon Ball world and become a Saiyan filled him with excitement, and he began to fantasize about the moment he would transform into a Super Saiyan.

He figured there wasn't a single person who hadn't felt a rush of adrenaline the moment they saw Son Goku transform into a Super Saiyan.

Once Reke snapped out of his Super Saiyan daydreams, a sense of lingering fear began to set in.

As far as he knew, the Saiyans were destined to be destroyed by Frieza, and since he was still an infant, he had no idea what the specific timeline was.

Other than knowing that Planet Vegeta was destroyed shortly after Kakarot was born, he knew absolutely nothing else.

Damn it, I can't be that unlucky, can I? Dying not long after transmigrating?

At this thought, his Super Saiyan dream shattered; he now desperately needed to know if Kakarot had been born yet, or how old Vegeta was.

Unfortunately, this tiny nursery kept him completely confined, and his infant body wouldn't allow him to do anything else.

"System daddy..."

"Golden finger..."

"Main God?"

"..."

Reke shouted everything he could think of in his mind, but absolutely nothing responded to him.

Screw this, I can't be this miserable, right? Transmigrating with nothing at all. Reke felt a sense of despair.

Forget it, I'm tired. Just let it all end!
