Seeing that Reke looked ready to throw hands, Lola started to get scared, too. She hurriedly blurted out everything she knew.

"It's true. I heard Fifth Brother say that seeing you reminded him of the roar that night. That's why he started trembling uncontrollably."

"Huh?"

"You're not lying to me?" Reke asked hesitantly.

"Why would I lie to you? That roar badly injured my Fifth Brother that night and left him traumatized," Lola said earnestly.

"It's just strange. You weren't the one who made that roar, so why did Fifth Brother tremble when he saw you?" Lola voiced her confusion.

After hearing that, Reke began to feel guilty.

Nobody else knew what had caused the roar, but he knew it perfectly well—even though he had lost his memories.

That also explained why Four-Ears had trembled when he saw him.

But how could he possibly admit to something like that? He stuck his chin out and said, "How would I know what's wrong with Four-Ears? What a load of nonsense."

With the misunderstanding cleared up, Reke followed Lola back into the spacecraft.

He looked around but didn't see Four-Ears. When he let his senses spread out, he found him in his room, so he put him out of his mind.

Instead, he asked curiously, "Were you all injured that night?"

"No, just my Fifth Brother. His hearing is exceptional—he can amplify it a hundredfold. His eardrums burst that night, and he was injured, too."

"Your Fifth Brother must be quite something. Does he keep his hearing amplified a hundredfold all the time? Didn't he go crazy?"

"He usually keeps his hearing normal. I don't know why he turned it up a hundredfold that night."

"What a weirdo." After muttering that, Reke lay back on the sofa to rest.

Two days later, the spacecraft arrived in Panxi City and landed on the roof of a three-story building.

Reke and the others stepped out of the spacecraft.

Looking at the high-rises all around him, Reke's mood brightened even more.

It meant he could enjoy modern life, and that he could keep getting stronger.

It also meant there was hope of leaving.

"Lola, where can we find the most famous scientist around here? Let's go see him now," Reke said impatiently.

Lola slapped her forehead and asked, "Do you have any money?"

"Nope." Reke said it with complete confidence.

"I'm only an eight-year-old baby. Why would I need money?"

"If you don't have money, why would you go looking for him? He won't even give you the time of day." Seeing Reke's expression, Lola felt a headache coming on again.

"You call yourself a baby? Have some shame."

Lola simply didn't believe him.

"Hey!"

Seeing Lola's expression annoyed Reke. Whatever else might be true, he really was eight years old in this life, even if he was a little strong.

His strength didn't change his age.

He was about to argue his case with Lola.

"Enough. Let's get some rest today. We can deal with everything else tomorrow." Lola waved him off impatiently.

"Tch, women." Reke turned his head away and gave Lola a sidelong look of disdain.

Despite his disdain, Reke dutifully followed behind her.

As soon as he entered the room, his body automatically made a beeline for the kitchen.

After eating his fill, Reke saw Lola come out wearing a bath towel wrapped around her slender figure.

Reke's face flushed slightly. He scolded her, "Have you no shame? Can't you see there's a grown man right here? You come out without even putting on clothes."

"A man? Where?" Lola began looking around.

Watching her, Reke clenched his fists, the veins on his forehead bulging.

Damn it, she doesn't just look down on me—she acts like I don't even exist. As the thought crossed his mind, his anger flared.

He had no plans to chase after women right now, and he always lived by the principle that "women will get in the way of me getting stronger."

But that didn't mean he could accept being ignored.

His expression darkened, and he snapped, "Are you blind? Want me to dig your eyes out?"

Seeing that Reke looked ready to explode, Lola didn't dare say another word. She hurried into her room and got dressed.

When she came back out, she kept her head down and didn't dare look at Reke.

"I'm warning you. Don't you ever ignore me again." Reke's roar rang out.

The three-story building shuddered with a creaking sound, as if it might collapse the next second.

This was the second time Lola had seen Reke lose his temper, and this time he was even angrier than before.

"Okay, okay. I won't do it again."

"Hmph!"

Reke turned and walked into the bathroom.

As cold water poured over him, he realized that something was wrong with him, too.

Normally, he wouldn't have lost his temper like that. If he had acted this way in his previous life, he would've been in countless fights by now.

In reality, he'd barely been in any fights in his previous life.

The more Reke thought about it, the more something seemed off.

Why was he so quick to anger now? The last time, there had at least been an explanation—he'd felt that his life was in danger.

But today was clearly different. They were in her home, and it wasn't an outsider's place to tell her how to behave.

With that thought, Reke quickly finished his shower.

He dashed into his room.

Sitting cross-legged on the bed, he slowly floated into the air.

He focused his mind inward and checked every part of his body again and again.

At last, he found something abnormal in his cells.

The S-Cells he had cultivated over five years were being assimilated by ordinary cells.

He'd only been out for about half a month, but not only was he close to losing even the "nothingness" realm—his S-Cells were almost assimilated, too.

"This is so strange."

"If all Saiyans are like this, forget Kakarot—even Vegeta must have managed to cultivate S-Cells and keep them from being assimilated. How?"

"Was it just because he's the second male lead?"

The more he thought about it, the stranger it seemed.

Reke went over every Saiyan in the anime again and again.

He found the difference.

In the main timeline, Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan within three years of learning that the Androids would attack.

But Future Timeline Vegeta clearly never transformed. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been killed without being able to fight back at all.

What was different between the two?

Reke started ruling out possibilities one by one.

First, their personalities:

There was definitely no difference. They were both just as proud.

Next, their lives:

Those hadn't changed either. They had both lived on Earth for so long and had a child, Trunks, with Bulma.

That left only one thing.

Pressure.

The excitement of facing powerful enemies had constantly stimulated his S-Cell division, speeding up the process of becoming a Super Saiyan.

Once he understood, Reke felt suddenly enlightened and smiled.

He knew he was practically invincible on this planet. Frieza wouldn't come looking for him, and his personality was gradually becoming arrogant.

Just like the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta in the past, who didn't even know how strong their opponents were before assuming that transforming into a Giant Ape and becoming ten times stronger made them invincible.

Reke suddenly broke out in a cold sweat, soaking himself from head to toe.

"That was close. Damn, I almost fell into the same trap."
