The tournament opened with Liu Yuan defeating Tianling Advanced Soul Master Academy’s entire team in one move.

• Liu Yuan forged his Origin Willow, trained with the chosen Reserve Team, and helped confirm the seven candidates after Xuan Zi challenged the other Core Disciples.
• Ma Xiaotao’s staged weapon forging triggered repeated Heavenly Tribulations, and Shrek began planning how its Soul Masters would safely endure them.
• The Reserve Team and Main Selection Team fought friendly matches under Xuan Zi, and Liu Yuan reunited Huo Yuhao with Huo Yun’er before accepting a mission to rescue captives on Bei Ye Island.
• Liu Yuan rescued Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen, learned about their world’s God Fruits, and escaped Yu Tianlei’s attack after Electrolux detected a greater threat.
• The Shrek Inspectorate investigated the Hand of Death, but a hidden Titled Evil Soul Master severely damaged the Main Selection Team’s Spirit Seas and left Dai Yaoheng unconscious.
• Xuan Zi accepted responsibility for the mission’s failure, cut off his little finger, and was ordered by Mu En to protect Liu Yuan while Mu En arranged treatment and compensation for the injured students.
• At the Star Luo Tournament, Liu Yuan led Shrek’s seven contestants against Tianling Advanced Soul Master Academy and used his Vine Dragons to defeat all seven opponents at once.

Liu Yuan and Shrek Academy won the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Tournament, while Huo Yuhao confronted his father and the Duchess. After returning to Shrek, Liu Yuan joined Ning Fengzhi at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where he began a dangerous refinement and Ning Fengzhi started evolving his Martial Soul.

• Liu Yuan led Shrek through the tournament, and Di Qiu'er swept aside Yunluo Advanced Soul Engineer Academy before Shrek advanced through the round robin and knockout matches.
• At the Starlight Auction, Liu Yuan acquired the Snow Empress Embryo after Xuan Zi intercepted it from the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy, while Huo Yuhao received the Ice Jade Scorpion Left Arm Bone.
• Liu Yuan and Wang Dong'er defeated Dou Ling Royal Academy's Seven-in-One Fusion Skill, and Shrek later overcame Star Luo Royal Academy to reach the final.
• Shrek defeated Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy when Liu Yuan and Di Qiu'er countered the Hongchen siblings' Martial Soul Fusion Skill, securing the tournament championship.

• Liu Yuan gave Ning Fengzhi the Aromatic Silk Beauty, consumed two immortal herbs, and entered the spring for Ice and Fire Golden Body Refinement as Ning Fengzhi began absorbing the herb.

Liu Yuan gained the Snow Empress as a second Martial Soul, saved a Fire Dragon Egg, and strengthened his allies before passing the Shrek Inner Court assessment. He supported Spirit Hall and stopped the zombie horde at Ming Capital, then returned to Shrek with Soul Guidance technology and a plan to discuss the Ice Empress.

• Liu Yuan reached level fifty, met the Snow Empress at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and she agreed to become his second Martial Soul after learning about the Ice Empress.
• Liu Yuan prepared pills for his friends, helping several of them break through, and Ma Xiaotao used an elixir to eliminate her Evil Fire.
• After Du Busi confronted Shrek Academy over Huo Yuhao, Mu En revealed he was alive and sent the students to the Star Dou Forest once the Body Sect withdrew.
• The group gained new Soul Rings and an External Soul Bone in the forest, then Liu Yuan, Di Qiu'er, and Ma Xiaotao endured lightning tribulations.
• Liu Yuan entered Dragon Valley, saved a Fire Dragon Egg with the Sacred Dragon King, and returned with dragon remains and a sacred attribute.
