A New Trump Card!

"Hehe..."

Buou tilted his head and grinned wickedly, making a come-hither taunt at the Iron-Faced Demon with his other hand.

"Whoosh!"

The Iron-Faced Demon used his shield to cut through the "flesh cord" around his wrist. Then he turned and swung his greatsword a few times before charging straight at Buou without a word.

Buou showed no reaction to having his hand cut off. Still grinning wickedly, he quickly drew his arm back and returned it to its normal size.

The next second, the severed part began to grow back at incredible speed!

Not only that, the "hand" that had fallen onto the arena melted into a puddle of liquid and quickly squirmed toward the Iron-Faced Demon from behind.

Shan Ming noticed the blob of goo but didn't comment on it, afraid that alerting the Iron-Faced Demon would compromise the fairness of the match.

The sharp-eyed spectators, however, were another story.

One of them immediately shouted, as if to show off how clever he was: "I found it, I found it! Look! Buou's severed tissue isn't 'dead'—it's going to ambush the Iron-Faced Demon!"

The arena erupted.

Everyone was stunned by Buou's unusual ability.

The Iron-Faced Demon had also sensed that something was wrong. He immediately turned around.

Sure enough, a blob of black goo was squirming across the ground at incredible speed, heading straight for him.

He raised his greatsword, preparing to hack the thing to pieces.

But just then, Buou pointed a finger upward.

The next second, the blob sprang off the ground and lunged straight at the Iron-Faced Demon's face!

"Smack!"

Like a pancake, the blob slammed hard into the Iron-Faced Demon's face and stuck fast. No matter how hard he tugged, it wouldn't come off.

Just like that, the Iron-Faced Demon lost his sight!

"Hehe..."

Buou flashed to his side and began pummeling him with punches and kicks!

Every attack made the Iron-Faced Demon cry out in pain, and his health dropped rapidly.

Desperate, the Iron-Faced Demon began attacking blindly. But now that he was "blind," all he could do was vent his fury at the air. He couldn't hit Buou at all.

Meanwhile, Vegeta gripped Ghost Shadow's right fist tightly. With a fierce look, he pressed his other hand against Ghost Shadow's abdomen and began firing Energy Bullets!

"Boom! Boom! Boom!!"

Ghost Shadow cried out in pain and tried to break free and dodge, but Vegeta had his right fist firmly in his grasp...

"Trying to run?" Vegeta mocked, firing Energy Bullets even faster. "Who do you think you are, picking a fight with me?!"

"It looks like Lin Xia's summons have taken control of the arena!" Shan Ming's voice rang out. "Now the question is whether Lin Xia and Qin Tianyu will keep fighting hand to hand or bring out new trump cards!"

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone's eyes turned to the two of them.

"If you get on your knees and surrender now, I might spare your life..." Lin Xia threw Qin Tianyu's earlier taunt right back at him. "The scales of victory are tipping in my favor now!"

"Damn it...!!"

Qin Tianyu's mouth twitched. Watching his two SSR characters gradually fall behind, he no longer looked smug.

In the Huajing University private box, the Vice Principal swallowed and glanced at everyone from the corner of his eye.

He saw that his colleagues looked just as grave as he did.

But Principal Tao wore a confident expression, as if victory was already assured!

This left Principal Yan, in the neighboring box, somewhat puzzled.

The situation in the arena was almost entirely in Lin Xia's favor.

Both S-rank Cards were floating humanoid figures resembling ghosts.

The only difference was that one had red skin and the other black.

As for the characters summoned by the two A-rank purple Cards—

One was a giant wolf with two heads and black flames flickering across its fur.

The other was a centaur-like creature wielding a pair of axes.

"Attack!"

At Qin Tianyu's command, all the summons charged forward at once!

But Lin Xia wasn't their target.

They were going after Vegeta and Buou.

The two, who had held the advantage moments before, had no choice but to turn and face the new opponents charging at them.

Vegeta, however, showed no sign of panic. Instead, he looked excited.

Buou simply tilted his head at the approaching Red Ghost and Double-Axe Centaur, wearing his trademark wicked grin.

"A combination of S-rank and A-rank, huh..."

Lin Xia looked at Qin Tianyu. "You sent all your summons after them, but you seem to have forgotten that you're no match for me."

"Quit getting cocky, kid!"

Qin Tianyu pinched two fingers together, and a Gold Card appeared. "Skeletal Nightmare Beast—Transform!!"
