Trunks was training when a figure suddenly appeared in the sky and flew down.

It was Son Gohan.

"Gohan, you're back!"

Son Gohan nodded.

"So, Gohan, about how long will it take to upgrade the Gravity Chamber to eight hundred times gravity?"

"I don't know, but she said she'd call me when it was ready!"

"I see!"

"Trunks, how about I take you to train with my dad?"

"Uncle Goku?"

Son Gohan nodded. He placed his left hand on Trunks's shoulder and used Instant Transmission to take him to King Kai's Planet.

"Gohan, Trunks!"

Son Goku was training, but as soon as he saw the two of them, he stopped.

Son Gohan nodded.

Just then, North Kai and Bubbles came over too.

"Are you King Kai?"

Son Gohan asked.

It was his first time on King Kai's Planet.

"That's right! I'm King Kai... King Kai!"

As North Kai spoke, he scratched himself.

Son Gohan and Trunks stared at him.

They didn't know what North Kai was doing.

"Ahem!"

North Kai cleared his throat, quickly putting on a serious expression.

"Gohan, Trunks, what brings you here all of a sudden?"

"Well..."

Trunks didn't know what to say for a moment.

Just then, Son Gohan spoke up.

"King Kai, we came here to train!"

"Train!"

North Kai was shocked.

Son Gohan could kill him with a single finger, and yet he wanted to train here.

"That's right, King Kai!"

Son Gohan said with a smile.

"Gohan, weren't you training on Earth? Why did you suddenly bring Trunks here to train with King Kai?"

Son Goku asked.

"Yeah!"

North Kai was wondering the same thing.

"Because I took the Gravity Chamber to Aunt Bulma to have it upgraded!"

"You took the Gravity Chamber to have it upgraded?"

"Mm!"

Son Gohan nodded.

Son Goku looked toward North Kai.

"King Kai, could you let Gohan and Trunks train here too?"

"Well..."

North Kai hesitated.

Saiyans caused far too much trouble. Son Goku alone had nearly wrecked King Kai's Planet several times.

If Son Gohan and Trunks trained here too, they would probably drive him to his grave.

Just then, Son Goku turned to North Kai with a smile.

"King Kai, why not let Gohan and Trunks train here for a while? They'll go back as soon as Bulma finishes upgrading the Gravity Chamber!"

"Well... all right!"

North Kai reluctantly agreed.

"Thank you, King Kai!"

Trunks said gratefully.

North Kai nodded slightly.

He hoped Son Gohan and Trunks wouldn't wreck King Kai's Planet like Son Goku had.

But... that hope probably wasn't realistic.

And so, Son Gohan and Trunks stayed on King Kai's Planet to train.

Time flew by, and two weeks passed in the blink of an eye.

After two weeks, Bulma had finally upgraded Son Gohan's Gravity Chamber to eight hundred times gravity.

Son Gohan was standing in the backyard of Bulma's house.

"All done, Gohan. I've increased the gravity in the Gravity Chamber to eight hundred times."

"Thanks for the trouble, Aunt Bulma!"

"No problem!"

"Well, Aunt Bulma, if there's nothing else, I'll head back now."

"Sure!"

Bulma nodded.

Son Gohan used Instant Transmission and returned to Mount Paozu.

"Gohan, you're back!"

Trunks was delighted to see Son Gohan return.

Son Gohan nodded, opened the Hoi-Poi Capsule in his hand, and tossed it onto the ground.

With a loud bang, a building appeared on the ground.

It was the Gravity Chamber.

"Let's go inside!"

"Okay!"

The two of them soon entered the Gravity Chamber and saw that it had been renovated.

"Looks like Aunt Bulma renovated the Gravity Chamber too!"

"Yeah!"

"Should we start training at five hundred times gravity?"

"...Okay!"

Trunks nodded.

Son Gohan immediately increased the gravity in the Gravity Chamber to five hundred times.

As the five-hundred-times gravity pressed down on him, Trunks suddenly felt like he could hardly breathe.

"Are you okay, Trunks?"

"I-I'm fine!"

As he spoke, Trunks clenched his fists and transformed into a Super Saiyan.

After transforming, Trunks immediately felt much lighter.

Just then, Son Gohan clenched both fists, and an incredibly powerful aura suddenly radiated from his entire body.

The floor of the entire Gravity Chamber began shaking violently.

Trunks was startled.

Then Son Gohan's hair turned purple and stood straight up. His eyebrows disappeared, his brow ridges drew close to his eye sockets, and his irises turned purple.

This was Basic Ultra Instinct.

Unlike Beerus's God of Destruction Technique, Son Gohan's Basic Ultra Instinct could be used even by mortals who had no Godly Ki inside them.

Although it wasn't as powerful as true Ultra Ego, it was still incredibly strong.

And like a God of Destruction, Son Gohan could use Basic Ultra Instinct to destroy everything in the world.

The only drawback was that using this technique might consume a great deal of stamina.

"W-what is that?"

Trunks exclaimed, staring at Son Gohan.

"It's called Ultra Ego!"

"Ultra Ego?"

"Mm!"

Son Gohan nodded.

"Gohan, can I transform like that too?"

Son Gohan smiled.

"Sure, but you'll have to reach Super Saiyan Third Stage first!"

"Super Saiyan Third Stage!"

At that, Trunks immediately gave up.

He hadn't even mastered Super Saiyan 2 yet, let alone Super Saiyan Third Stage.

"Gohan, which is stronger, Ultra Ego or Super Saiyan Third Stage?"

"Ultra Ego isn't a transformation. It's a God of Destruction Technique!"

"A God of Destruction Technique!"

"That's right. You can stack it on top of Super Saiyan Third Stage, but there's no need.

"Super Saiyan Third Stage consumes far too much stamina. If you stack this state on top of it, you'll probably run out of stamina before you've fought for long!"

"I see! Then if you don't stack them, which one is stronger?"

"Ultra Ego! In the Ultra Ego state, you can unleash all the power inside you!"
