But the current Fugaku wouldn't.
"Lord Hokage, though I, Uchiha Fugaku, respect you greatly, I'm also the head of my clan. Naturally, I need evidence before I speak."
"Everything here proves that our Hokage's advisor, Lord Danzo, attacked the Uchiha Clan first."
"And we don't even know how many times our Hokage's advisor, Lord Danzo, has done something like this."
As he spoke, Uchiha Fugaku picked up the arm he had cut off Danzo earlier and slowly unwound the bandages wrapped around it.

Still, to appease Uchiha Fugaku, he would have to satisfy even the appetite of an elephant.
But he still had to negotiate the price down. Otherwise, if Uchiha Fugaku demanded the entire village, was he supposed to hand that over too?
