The rain in Amegakure never ceased, the fine drizzle acting as a natural barrier that shrouded the entire village in a hazy veil. Jiraiya held an oil-paper umbrella, clad in black combat gear, his presence perfectly suppressed. Like a shadow merging into the downpour, he moved silently through the alleys of Amegakure.
Following the clues provided by Su Ye, he arrived at an abandoned shrine deep within the village. The vermilion pillars of the shrine were long since weathered, and the stone lanterns before the entrance were thick with dust; only the copper bell hanging under the eaves occasionally emitted a crisp sound in the rain. As soon as Jiraiya stepped into the shrine, a familiar fluctuation of chakra reached his senses—it was Nagato's chakra, yet it carried a strange, icy deadness.
So he really is here. Jiraiya's heart sank. Gathering a faint trace of chakra at his fingertips, he slowly pushed open the shrine doors. Inside, countless black chakra receivers were interwoven like a spiderweb. On the central dais sat a figure pierced through by these receivers, sitting perfectly still—it was Nagato. His eyes were tightly shut, his face devoid of expression, and only the chakra swirling around him proved that he was still "alive."
"Nagato, it's me," Jiraiya said softly, his voice tinged with complex emotions. Nagato slowly opened his eyes; those orbs that had once been filled with warmth and ideals were now nothing but hollow and cold. He did not speak, merely raising his hand as countless black chakra receivers erupted from the ground, surging toward Jiraiya.
Jiraiya's pupils constricted as he leaped backward, his hands forming seals: "Sage Art: Needle Jizo!" Countless golden hairs shot out like sharp arrows, severing the incoming chakra receivers. "Nagato, wake up! Have you forgotten the promise we once made?" Jiraiya attempted to stir Nagato's memories, but Nagato merely launched another attack, his face expressionless.
Meanwhile, at the foot of a volcano on the border of the Land of Fire, the Four-Tails jinchuriki Roshi sat cross-legged, surrounded by scorching lava chakra. He had just finished his training and was preparing to return to Iwagakure when he suddenly sensed a wave of intense malice. Roshi's eyes snapped open to see several black-clad figures rapidly approaching through the distant sky—they were members of the Akatsuki, Hidan and Kakuzu.
"Akatsuki scum, you actually dare to show your faces here!" Roshi roared, his lava chakra erupting as he instantly entered his Tailed Beast form. The massive Four-Tails Son Goku appeared at the foot of the volcano, scorching lava flowing from its body and causing the ground to hiss and sizzle.
Hidan's lips curled into a crazed smile as he gripped his Triple-Bladed Scythe and charged toward the Four-Tails: "A jinchuriki? Perfect, let me enjoy the pleasure of reaping a soul!" Kakuzu stood motionless, his hands forming seals as several Earth Style ninjutsu blasted toward the Four-Tails.
The Four-Tails roared, swinging its tail violently as a wave of molten lava swept toward Hidan and Kakuzu. Hidan nimbly dodged the lava, his Triple-Bladed Scythe carving a sinister arc as he struck at the Four-Tails' body. Taking the opportunity, Kakuzu unleashed his ninjutsu, countless black tentacles erupting from the ground to entangle the limbs of the Four-Tails.
Just then, a streak of pale purple chakra tore through the air, instantly knocking Hidan's Triple-Bladed Scythe away. Su Ye, Naruto, and Kakashi appeared at the foot of the volcano. "Roshi, we're here to help!" Naruto roared, his golden chakra erupting as he instantly entered his Tailed Beast form and charged at Hidan.
Su Ye's Rinne Sharingan flared, instantly locking onto the weaknesses of Hidan and Kakuzu. "Kakashi, Hidan's ability is a curse; as long as he doesn't obtain your blood, he cannot activate his curse technique! Kakuzu possesses five hearts; you must destroy them simultaneously to finish him off!" Su Ye quickly relayed their weaknesses to Kakashi.
Kakashi nodded, immediately activating his Sharingan. With Chidori coalescing in his palm, he charged at Kakuzu. Seeing this, Kakuzu manipulated his black tentacles to block the Chidori while his other hand formed seals, launching a Fire Style ninjutsu at Kakashi. Kakashi quickly activated Kamui, sucking the fire into another dimension, then reformed his Chidori and lunged for Kakuzu's heart.
Su Ye charged at Hidan, his black longsword dancing in his hand. Pale purple chakra coated the blade, and every strike carried immense destructive power. Hidan refused to yield, engaging in a fierce battle with his Triple-Bladed Scythe, yet his attacks could never touch Su Ye. Seizing an opening, Su Ye's black longsword instantly pierced Hidan's shoulder, and the pale purple chakra surged into Hidan's body, temporarily sealing his chakra.
Naruto fought side-by-side with the Four-Tails, their golden Tailed Beast Bomb and scorching lava weaving together as they bombarded Kakuzu. Seeing this, Kakuzu immediately summoned his other two hearts, launching Fire and Water Style ninjutsu in an attempt to deflect the combined assault. However, the power of the Tailed Beast Bomb and lava was too great, instantly shattering Kakuzu's defensive ninjutsu and blasting his body away.
"Now!" Su Ye shouted, activating Heavenly Hand Power to instantly teleport beside Kakuzu. His black longsword gathered a massive amount of pale purple chakra, piercing all five of Kakuzu's hearts at once. Kakashi seized the moment to drive his Chidori into Kakuzu's heart as well. Under their combined assault, all five of Kakuzu's hearts were destroyed, and his body slumped to the ground, completely devoid of life.
Seeing Kakuzu killed, a flicker of fear crossed Hidan's eyes as he turned to flee. Naruto immediately gave chase, a golden Tailed Beast Bomb forming in his palm before he launched it at Hidan. Hidan was struck, his body instantly reduced to a mangled mess. Su Ye took the opportunity to step forward, using his black longsword to decapitate Hidan, ending him for good.
After the battle, Roshi released his Tailed Beast form. Looking at Su Ye, Naruto, and Kakashi, his tone carried a hint of gratitude: "Thank you for your help." Su Ye nodded, his Rinne Sharingan burning slightly: "The Akatsuki's goal is all the Tailed Beasts. From here on, you must be careful. It would be best to join our joint defense plan and fight the Akatsuki together." Roshi pondered for a moment before nodding in agreement.
Just then, a sharp, stabbing pain shot through Su Ye's Rinne Sharingan, and a blurred vision flooded his mind—inside the Amegakure shrine, Jiraiya was locked in a fierce battle with Nagato, while in the shadows of the shrine, Obito stood silently, a cold sneer curling his lips.
"No, Master Jiraiya is in danger!" Su Ye's expression shifted. He immediately turned to Naruto and Kakashi: "You take Roshi back to Konoha first; I'm going to Amegakure to support Master Jiraiya!" With that, Su Ye activated Heavenly Hand Power and vanished instantly.
When Su Ye arrived at the shrine in Amegakure, the interior was in ruins. Jiraiya lay on the ground, covered in wounds, his breathing faint. Nagato stood on the dais, the chakra fluctuations around him growing increasingly violent. Obito stepped out from the shadows, looking at Su Ye with a mocking smile: "Su Ye, you're still too late. Jiraiya has already been defeated by me. Next, it's your turn."
Su Ye shielded Jiraiya behind him, his Rinne Sharingan flaring as pale purple chakra swirled around him: "Obito, do you think you can defeat me? Today, I will avenge Master Jiraiya!"
Obito's right eye swirled, a look of madness appearing on his face: "Avenge? You? Su Ye, your Rinne Sharingan is indeed strong, but you have no idea of the true power of the Eye of the Moon plan. Today, I will let you witness what true despair is." As he spoke, Obito raised his hands to form seals, and countless black chakra receivers erupted from the ground, surging toward Su Ye.
Su Ye's gaze sharpened. He swung his black longsword, the pale purple chakra coalescing into a barrier that blocked the incoming receivers. He knew that a brutal battle was now unavoidable.
