Background / History

In his previous life, Gao Xu spent two years working for Yao Xue and her side, only to be regarded as disposable labor. Despite being praised as the strongest solo reincarnator beneath Su Moyan, he lacked the resources and backing to join one of the four major teams. He ultimately reached the peak of the cultivation system and learned the Five Heavenly Blaze Swords, but had already suffered irreversible setbacks along the way. 2 3

During the battle against Evil Sword Immortal at Shushan, Gao Xu rebelled against the elite teams who intended to use workers as sacrificial shields. He invoked the Heaven-Extinction Forbidden Law, sealed off the reincarnators' retreat with the Three Sovereigns barrier, and sent the Blood Fiend Ghost Vessel into Evil Sword Immortal. Yao Xue killed him while he watched the resulting disaster, and the forbidden-law backlash was meant to erase his soul permanently. 2
