Eastsea Academy

Gu Yue arrived at Eastsea Academy as a late applicant with level 19 soul power and the unusual Elemental Envoy Martial Soul. Wu Zhangkong tested her by having Tang Linyuan fight her without using his Martial Soul or Soul Skills. She displayed control of fire, wind, earth, light, and spatial teleportation, but Tang Linyuan followed her displacement and restrained her through superior speed and spatial comprehension. Wu Zhangkong accepted her into Class Five despite her loss. 36 38

She immediately sought proximity to Tang Linyuan in class, clashing with Xie Xie over the seat beside him before joining Tang Linyuan, Tang Wulin, and Xie Xie for a meal. 39 During Class Five’s internal matches, she decisively defeated Xie Xie through layered wind, earth, and ice control, then used light and teleportation to defeat Tang Wulin. 46

Class Zero

Gu Yue became one of the four founding students of Grade One Class Zero alongside Tang Linyuan, Tang Wulin, and Xie Xie. Her score of 1250 established her as a Spirit Sea Realm mental-power user, far beyond ordinary students and most Eastsea Academy teachers. 60

After reaching level 40, Gu Yue proposed that the group undertake a Tower Rush at Spirit Pagoda headquarters to obtain high-grade soul spirits. She organized a seven-person team and used her familiarity with the Spirit Pagoda to bring them before Vice Tower Master Leng Yaozhu, her teacher. 173 174

During the Tower Rush, Gu Yue took a leading role against the increasingly powerful soul beasts. She easily defeated a ten-thousand-year Wind Fire Spirit Fox through elemental control and helped carry the team through subsequent floors. 177

Dragon Valley and the Silver Dragon King

Gu Yue eventually revealed her true identity to Tang Linyuan in Dragon Valley. Her academy appearance had been a mask fashioned through her power; her true form possessed silver hair, silver eyes, and the sovereign bearing of the Silver Dragon King. 283

She attempted to recruit Tang Linyuan to the Soul Beasts’ cause, offering him power and marriage. He rejected her efforts at manipulation, but promised neutrality so long as her actions did not endanger those he protected. 283

When the Dragon God Remnant Soul divided its origin between Gu Yue and the unconscious Tang Wulin, Gu Yue absorbed her portion and seized the paired Dragon God Core Inheritance crystals. Tang Linyuan prevented her from taking the entire inheritance and challenged her warning about the Golden Dragon King’s violent will. 284

After Tang Linyuan later revealed the Origin Dragon Bone of Myriad Realms, Gu Yue recognized that he had won the allegiance of dragon ancestors and possessed strength beyond her expectations. 294 305 Following her attempt to interfere with Na’er, she apologized by transferring a substantial portion of her Silver Dragon King origin to Na’er, weakening her own control while strengthening Na’er’s independence. 305

Separation from Na'er

Gu Yue and Na’er later fused into Gu Yuena, but the union was driven by Na’er’s grief and revenge rather than a stable reconciliation. Gu Yuena equipped the Silver Dragon Abyss divine armor and fought at first-level god power before Tang San restrained her. 433

Tang Linyuan subsequently separated Gu Yue and Na’er’s entangled souls. Their foundations were restored to eighty percent before he forged Gu Yue a new body in the Primordial Beginning Furnace using creation divine treasures and half of the Silver Dragon King’s source. Gu Yue’s soul fused perfectly with the completed body. 464 465

Gu Yue initially presents herself as a composed black-haired, black-eyed student. This appearance is a constructed disguise; her true appearance is nearly identical to Na’er’s, but with silver hair, cold silver eyes, and a distinctly regal, remote temperament. 38 283 465

Her confidence rests on exceptional elemental mastery, but she is also analytical and adaptive. She uses layered terrain control, blinding light, teleportation, and compressed elemental attacks rather than relying on a single attribute. 46 47

As the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yue initially regards human attachments as a threat to her larger mission. Her friendship with Class Zero nevertheless causes genuine conflict: she is moved by their camaraderie while fearing Tang Linyuan’s ability to suppress her elements and see through her secrets. 54

She can be calculating and manipulative when pursuing the Soul Beasts’ future, as shown by her attempt to recruit Tang Linyuan through promises of power and marriage.
