Zhou Xing was Fifth Middle School’s top student and initially possessed the strength needed to enter a key university. His parents were ordinary workers at an electronics factory, and he sought to improve his family’s circumstances through martial arts. 2 20 30

Despite his academic standing, Zhou Xing formed a gang that targeted timid students without support. He extorted protection money from them, including Gao Teng, whom he regularly forced to pay five hundred yuan each month. 2

After Gao Teng awakened the ability to steal cultivation, Zhou Xing’s cultivation, physical strength, mental strength, and mastery of basic techniques began disappearing without explanation. Desperate to halt the decline before the college entrance examination, he practiced obsessively and relied on cheap medicinal pills, eventually suffering an overdose and severe meridian damage. 1 9 10
