After hearing Chen out, Shisui simply didn't believe him. After all, everything he had said was utterly unbelievable.

"Chen, where did you hear all these lies?"

"Lies?

Then let me ask you something you should know, Big Brother Shisui."

"What?"

"What was the real cause of Kagami Uchiha's death?"

Chen believed that someone chosen as a disciple of the Second Hokage couldn't have been weak. And when a strong shinobi died, there were bound to be questions.

Besides, with Danzo's personality, he couldn't possibly have forgotten about the Sharingan. Even if there really hadn't been anything suspicious, the slightest doubt would have raised questions.

In fact, Kagami Uchiha's death was indeed riddled with suspicious details.

It had been a simple mission, but somehow they had ended up facing a large number of enemies.

Every shinobi escorting the supplies had been killed. Kagami Uchiha had been among them.

The Uchiha had tried to investigate the truth back then, but for some reason, the matter had ultimately been dropped.

Uchiha Shisui did know about this. Now that he thought about it, if Chen was telling the truth, everything made sense.

Shisui's expression grew worse and worse. He had only wanted to find out who Chen was, but Chen's revelations had left him increasingly shocked.

Seeing Shisui's expression, Chen guessed that something must have been fishy about what happened back then.

He felt a little guilty about doing this to Shisui, but this was no time to stop. He had to keep spinning his tale.

If he could change Shisui's way of thinking and keep him from being blindly loyal to Konoha, that would undoubtedly be a good thing.

"Big Brother Shisui, there's something else I want to ask. When Kagami Uchiha died in battle, was his body recovered? Were his eyes intact?"

"No. My grandfather's body was incomplete. They concluded that the enemy had taken his head."

In the Shinobi World, it was perfectly normal to take the head of someone you'd killed, whether for a bounty or to claim credit for a military achievement.

After all, not every Uchiha was as messed up as Uchiha Sasuke.

"Konoha was founded by the Uchiha and Senju Clans. In theory, only those two clans are the real bosses. If the bosses want to leave, do they have to ask their employees for permission?
