Xuan Kongzi is one of Danta's three peak leaders, alongside Tian Lei Zi and Xuan Yi. He personally oversees Tang Chen's application for a high-tier eighth-grade alchemist badge after learning that Burning Flame Valley's renowned prodigy has arrived for the examination. 63 64

He is Cao Ying's master and takes clear pride in her alchemical accomplishments, while recognizing Tang Chen's talent as surpassing that of his prized disciple. 64 66

Personality

Xuan Kongzi is receptive to extraordinary talent. His initial curiosity about Tang Chen quickly turns into open admiration as he witnesses Tang Chen's cultivation, Heavenly Realm soul power, Exotic Flames, and high-level alchemy. 64 65

Despite his seniority, he treats Tang Chen with respect rather than condescension. He repeatedly supports Tang Chen's proposals, including the attempt to subdue the Three Thousand Burning Flame, while remaining genuinely concerned for his safety. 68 69

His long commitment to Danta's affairs has come at the expense of his own cultivation. After sensing that Tang Chen has reached a level comparable to—or possibly above—his own, Xuan Kongzi resolves to enter seclusion once his responsibilities are settled. 101

Three Thousand Burning Flame

Xuan Kongzi brings Tang Chen's proposal to subdue the Three Thousand Burning Flame before Danta's council. Once Tang Chen enters the Star Domain, he remains outside to monitor the situation and is relieved when Tang Chen returns after completing the subjugation. 68 69

Pill Gathering
