Chen Chong reached toward the grill on the table.
A large hand suddenly shot out from beside him, grabbing for his wrist.
Chen Chong had been ready for this. The moment the man's shoulder moved, he clenched his fist and sped up, punching straight toward the man's palm!
The man was no pushover either. He gathered force in his hand and slapped toward Chen Chong at the same time.
Fist met palm with a tremendous muffled crack, sending a shudder through the entire cafeteria.
The seated man's whole body jolted. All four legs of the chair beneath him snapped at once with a creak.
He staggered, then managed to stand upright. Watching Chen Chong calmly draw back his hand, he knitted his brows into a deep frown.
When everyone saw who had stood up, the cafeteria fell silent. He Xin and the people beside him pressed their lips tightly together and said nothing.
Chen Chong sized up the imposing middle-aged man, casually shook his hand, and asked:
"What's your rank?"
"Fourteenth."
The man answered in a deep voice.
Chen Chong nodded. So this was the strongest Level 2 Fighter. No wonder his strength was almost on par with his own—and the man had been sitting down, too.
But Chen Chong didn't care. He simply asked:
"Want to fight?"
The man's face twitched. Unexpectedly, he replied:
"No."
Chen Chong looked him over, then reached for the grill again. This time, the other man didn't stop him.
"That's ours..."
He Xin spoke with a strained expression, but Chen Chong merely glanced at him, and he immediately fell silent.
After Chen Chong left, He Xin clenched his teeth hard. After a long moment, he looked at his two companions.
"Should I go buy another one?"
"Who knows how long it'll take to cook.
