Background

Tang Wuling first met Lin Nuo and Na'er at the martial soul awakening center. Though shy around strangers, she used their mutual visit to start a conversation about martial souls. Na'er immediately regarded her with hostility, recognizing the connection between Tang Wuling’s Golden Dragon King bloodline and her own Silver Dragon King nature 6.

Her awakening produced Blue Silver Grass and Innate Soul Power Level 3, leaving her deeply discouraged. Lin Nuo bluntly rejected the idea that Tang San’s Blue Silver Emperor bloodline offered a meaningful comparison, then urged her to define her own path through cultivation, forging, mecha, and Soul Tools. Tang Wuling accepted his hand and began addressing him as “Brother Nuo” 8.

Lin Nuo later gave her a Soul Spirit as an investment in her potential. Tang Wuling resolved to keep it, determined to become a great Soul Master and not fall behind him. Her cultivation accelerated sharply after the Golden Dragon King seals began to loosen. Tang Wuling begins as shy and easily disheartened, but Lin Nuo’s early encouragement gives her a strong personal conviction: she wants to become a great Soul Master despite her low initial Soul Power and apparent Blue Silver Grass martial soul 8 20.

She is notably innocent, literal-minded, and prone to odd misunderstandings. She mistakes Lin Nuo’s interest in Xie Xie’s martial soul for romantic interest, worries that Zheng Yiran may be attracted to her, and misinterprets Lin Nuo’s plans after her rank-45 breakthrough 157 159 232.

Her loyalty to Lin Nuo is her most pronounced trait. She follows his guidance readily, works hard at forging to help him, becomes immediately defensive when others approach him, and adopts his hostility toward Tang San after learning his opinion of the Sea God 157 168 234 239.
