Speaking of which, Li Ang didn't waste time. He was a man of action through and through.
After leaving with Little Butterfly, Li Ang returned directly to his own room.
After giving Little Butterfly a further examination and confirming that it could also unlock unrestricted evolution by devouring metal, Li Ang let out a long breath.
"You should have a trigger phrase too. From now on, when I say 'Armor, assemble,' you'll fuse with me immediately. Don't hesitate or think about anything else."
"Once you hear the word 'armor,' if I seem about to say something else, or if I try to communicate with you telepathically, just charge straight at me and fuse with me."
Li Ang spoke very plainly as he looked at Little Butterfly in front of him. He hadn't settled on a name for it—or rather, Little Butterfly had been its name all along.
As for its scientific name, Crystal Butterfly, that was a bit of a mouthful.
As he spoke, Li Ang watched Little Butterfly flap its wings. The Crystal Butterfly gave a gentle flutter, seemingly in agreement, then slowly settled on his shoulder.
Looking at the butterfly, Li Ang's eyes flickered. He raised his hand, took out his Soul Guidance Communicator, and called Ming Yue.
"Young Pagoda Master, hello. May I ask what you need? Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Sis Ming Yue, I'd like you to help me get the design technology for Battle Armor—the complete assembly patterns and types for One-Word Battle Armor."
Li Ang was very direct. Once he'd finished speaking, he ended the call, stood up in silence, and studied the Crystal Butterfly's entire body structure.
As he handed over the pieces of metal he had finished forging, Little Butterfly's body didn't grow, but its weight began to change almost imperceptibly.
Li Ang remained calm as he watched the creature born from his blood.
"Although it didn't inherit Geo Archon Rex Lapis's ability to control Rock Elements, this power to grow stronger by devouring metal is pretty good too."
As he spoke, he began taking out his collection from his vault. Over the past three years, he had forged a great many pieces of Hundred-Refined Metal and Thousand Refinement metal.
Especially after mastering metal purification, he had nearly unlimited supplies of Hundred-Refined and Thousand-Refined metals, even though he still hadn't mastered Spirit Refinement.
As Little Butterfly devoured large amounts of metal, its body trembled slightly. Li Ang could sense that the Crystal Butterfly was beginning to assimilate the properties of those metals.
This was nothing like Blue Pregnancy Metal, which only carried properties such as defensive power and vitality. Instead, it was combining the properties of various metals to form an ultimate property—one that was highly unpredictable.
But that wasn't particularly important to Li Ang right now. After all, he was already strong, and he was in the Spirit Pagoda. No one would scheme against him or try to manipulate him.
In a sense, he hadn't yet stepped into the limelight. The true geniuses had nothing to do with him, even though his talent and methods had already reached a terrifying level.
Yet in the eyes of the world, and even in the eyes of the Plane Lord currently lost in slumber,
Li Ang was nothing more than an ordinary person. In fact, no one would even bother to notice someone like him.
That was exactly what Li Ang wanted, and what he needed most right now. The right path was to grow stronger in secret.
As the saying went, "Let caution come first." Only once he had grown strong enough could he seize Douluo Planet's complete authority and become its new ruler.
As Li Ang was thinking, the door opened and Ming Yue walked in, holding a paper document. Such documents were rare at this point; most files were transmitted as streams of information.
Li Ang calmly took the paper document and opened it. Most of its contents concerned Battle Armor's construction and forging methods.
The forging methods weren't difficult to learn. Li Ang was a blacksmith, after all. But when it came to designing mecha, he really had no experience at all—not even the slightest foundation.
Now, he wanted to modify Little Butterfly so it could take on the properties of Battle Armor and fully replicate its abilities.
That would be very difficult for Little Butterfly, and for Li Ang as well.
"I was getting ahead of myself, but the plan really is feasible. As long as I can bring my mecha design skills up to the level of One-Word Battle Armor, I should be able to complete the design."
Li Ang muttered to himself, his brows furrowing slightly. This meant adding yet another field of study, which would eat into his time and energy.
Once he had two more second professions, he would be much more exhausted than other people.
But the benefit was that he wouldn't have to worry about Battle Armor anymore. He could even develop Four-Word Battle Armor of his own.
As for the Five-Word and Six-Word Battle Armor that wouldn't appear until ten thousand years from now, he had ideas for those too.
After all, Little Butterfly could grow without limit. Though these metals couldn't give it properties as powerful as Heavenly Forged Metal, if he also mastered the forging techniques for Heavenly Refinement and fed it a large amount of Heavenly Forged Metal, Little Butterfly might become even stronger.
As he imagined the possibilities, Li Ang leaned over and began practicing metal forging and Battle Armor design. Seeing how seriously he worked, Ming Yue wore a rare look of surprise.
Still, she didn't say anything to her Young Pagoda Master. His ideas were sometimes so unusual that even she found them hard to take in.
But they had known each other for three years. She no longer looked at him like some kind of monster as she once had. Perhaps because of Shen Ming, she had never felt any dislike toward Li Ang.
"Young Pagoda Master, please don't forget that Eastsea Academy's opening ceremony is tomorrow. You need to go to Eastsea Academy to register."
After saying this, Ming Yue repeated it, and only after she had repeated it a second time did Li Ang look up at her. Then he went right back to his design.
Seeing that Li Ang had glanced at her, Ming Yue withdrew from the room helplessly and gently closed the door.
Li Ang didn't sleep at all that night. But because of his brain—or rather, his intelligence—and his connection to Douluo Planet,
his mental processing ability and personality were somewhat unusual, but he was by no means lacking in intelligence.
With all cumulative and numerical models discarded, he could use the basic principles of Battle Armor design, combined with the designs at hand, to devise a suit of Battle Armor suited to himself. It wasn't difficult.
Li Ang couldn't produce a complete Battle Armor setup in a short time, but completing a single component posed no difficulty for him.
And that wasn't all. Little Butterfly had one remarkable property: it could be disassembled without limit.
It could use its own body as a blueprint to construct a suit of Battle Armor that fit Li Ang's body perfectly.
