Mingyou flashed forward and stood before Itachi, the imposing aura of a Kage-level expert erupting from his body.
"The Mangekyō Sharingan? So that was it."
A flicker of shock crossed Itachi's calm face. Clearly, he did not understand why Mingyou had suddenly gained such strength.
But Itachi did not ask further. In his eyes, all of this might have been Father's arrangement.

Mingyou felt some regret. He regretted not having Father arrange for the elderly, women, and children to be sent away first.

Obito never imagined that Itachi, who had just asked him to form an alliance, would suddenly attack him.
He viciously twisted his right hand against his left arm, severing the entire white arm from his body and sending it falling to the ground.

Itachi covered his left eye with one hand. The backlash from using Amaterasu had struck, leaving his left eye in unbearable pain.
Yet he still did not want to see the Uchiha Clan go to war with Konoha, nor did he want Konoha's civilians to suffer through the horrors of war.
"Itachi, do not worry. So long as Konoha does not go too far, we will not take the initiative to wage war against Konoha."
Mingyou nodded in assurance, then turned to Fugaku.
"Father, take this chance to quickly have the clansmen flee tonight."
"Otherwise, it may truly be too late."
"I understand." Fugaku nodded faintly. He was still greatly relieved that Itachi had changed his mind.
"Soki, arrange for the Uchiha personnel to evacuate immediately."
Fugaku issued the order to the chief steward.
Within the Uchiha Clan, aside from Fugaku, the clan head, the person with the most authority was Soki, the chief steward.
"Yes, Clan Head."
Soki nodded and urged the Uchiha Military Police Force members who were not on duty tonight to begin the evacuation.
Then he took out something resembling a firework and launched it into the sky from outside the clan grounds.
With a whoosh.
A bright flare shot into the night sky and exploded in a dazzling burst of light.
This signaled the Uchiha Clan members still holding their posts in the Military Police Force to immediately evacuate to the agreed location outside Konoha.
All of this had been arranged beforehand by Fugaku, and Mingyou had not known about it.
"Was that a signal sent to the Military Police Force?"
"It was already a useless move. The Uchiha Clan members over there have been completely surrounded."
Shimura Danzō's voice suddenly rang out.
Mingyou turned to look. Danzo led a large group of ninjas clad in silver armor, and they had already arrived on the street outside the shrine, steadily closing in.
"Itachi, did you ultimately choose to stand with the Uchiha Clan after all?"
Danzo narrowed his one eye, as if he had long anticipated Itachi's last-minute betrayal.
"Lord Danzo, the Uchiha clansmen only seek a way to live. They have abandoned any thoughts of rebellion. Must you still exterminate them all?"
Itachi held his Ninja Tachi horizontally before him, taking a stance ready for battle at any moment.
"Itachi, do not believe this old man's lies. Shisui was killed by him."
"The right eye beneath those bandages is Shisui's eye."
Mingyou slowly stepped forward and stood beside Itachi.
Now that Mingyou possessed Kage-level strength, he felt no fear even while facing the densely packed Root operatives before him.
"Is that so? In that case, there is no need to hide anything."
Danzo raised his hand and slowly unwound the bandages around his right eye, revealing a crimson Mangekyō Sharingan.
"I do not mind telling you. Once the Uchiha Clan has been completely exterminated tonight, your Sharingan will all belong to me as well."
Fugaku leaped in front of his two sons, glaring furiously at Shimura Danzō. "Danzo!! Have you old fool underestimated the Uchiha Clan too much?"
"Susanoo!!"
Chakra surged around Fugaku's body. Then, a skeletal armored giant over ten meters tall emerged, pale blue energy continuously flowing over its form as the incomplete Susanoo manifested.
"Mingyou!! Itachi!! Protect the clansmen and evacuate first! Leave these people to me!"
Fugaku stood atop the skeletal giant's forehead and turned to shout at his two sons.
"What... what kind of monster is that?"
"Is this the strength of the Uchiha Clan's head? It is terrifying."
Quite a few Root members recoiled in fear. Faced with such a massive creature, they had no confidence in fighting it.
Shimura Danzō turned and glared, and the two Root members at the front suddenly clutched their mouths, letting out agonized groans.
Before long, the two vomited blood and collapsed to the ground with a thud, completely devoid of life.
Clearly, he had activated the Cursed Tongue Eradication Seal.
"If anyone dares take another half-step back, I will have him die on the spot."
"I will deal with this one. First and Second Squads, go capture the remaining Uchiha members."
