Itachi's Betrayal

"Itachi, have you already accepted the orders from those old geezers?"

Mingyou flew forward, standing before Itachi, his aura as a Kage-level powerhouse unleashed.

"Mangekyo Sharingan? I see."

A flicker of shock crossed Itachi's usually calm face, clearly not understanding why Mingyou would suddenly possess such power.

But Itachi didn't ask further; in his view, this was likely his father's arrangement.

The Uchiha's rebellion, and Mingyou's hidden strength, too.

The space warped and twisted, and Uchiha Obito emerged from the void, standing beside Itachi.

"Oh my, another Mangekyo Sharingan wielder?"

"Looks like tonight's massacre might be a bit tricky, Itachi."

Mingyou was overjoyed. Obito's arrival was truly timely. Now, if negotiations failed, he would have a better chance of dealing with these two.

"Now the clansmen have no intention of rebelling, they just want to find a way to survive."

"Are you still going to attack everyone?"

Mingyou felt a bit of regret, regretting not having his father arrange for the clan's elderly, children, and women to be sent away first.

They were all waiting in a secret chamber outside the shrine, and now it was probably too late to escape.

"Is that so? Tell me your plan."

Itachi's indifferent face faltered slightly, a hint of relief evident in his heart.

After all, this was the clan he had grown up in; it was impossible to have no feelings for them.

"The only way is to take the clan away from Konohagakure and find a place to settle down."

Mingyou truthfully stated his plan. As long as Itachi agreed, he would immediately lead the clan to leave.

"Amaterasu!!"

Itachi's left eye suddenly became bloodshot, and as a trail of blood ran down his face, a black flame flashed from the void, heading straight for Uchiha Obito.

"What?!"

Obito's face under the mask was shocked. His left hand instinctively defended in front of him, and then he felt a sharp pain in his arm.

The black flame was rapidly spreading towards his body along his right arm.

Obito never expected that Itachi, who had just sought his help to form an alliance, would suddenly attack him.

He twisted his right hand hard on his left arm, and the entire white arm detached from his body and fell to the ground.

Then, a wave of spatial distortion rippled in front of him, and Obito had already disappeared into the void.

But he still didn't want to see the Uchiha and Konoha go to war, didn't want the villagers of Konoha to suffer the pain of war.

"Itachi, don't worry, as long as Konoha doesn't go too far, we won't actively start a war against Konohagakure."

Mingyou nodded in assurance, then turned to look at Fugaku.

"Father, take advantage of this opportunity to quickly stop the clansmen and have them escape overnight."

"Otherwise, it might really be too late."

"I understand." Fugaku nodded slightly, feeling gratified that Itachi could change his mind.

"Soki, arrange for the Uchiha members to evacuate immediately."

Fugaku gave the order to the head steward.

"Yes, Clan Leader."

Soki nodded in agreement, urging the Uchiha Military Police Force members who were not on duty tonight to carry out the evacuation.

Then he took out a firecracker-like object and launched it into the sky outside the clan grounds.

With a whoosh.

A bright light shot into the sky, exploding into a dazzling display of light.

This also signaled to the Uchiha Military Police Force personnel still holding their posts to immediately retreat to the prearranged location outside Konohagakure.

All of this was Fugaku's prior arrangement; Mingyou was unaware.

"Is that a signal to the Uchiha Military Police Force?"

"It's a useless gesture. The Uchiha clan members at the Uchiha Military Police Force have already been completely surrounded."

Shimura Danzo's voice suddenly rang out.

Mingyou turned to look. Danzo, leading a large group of ninjas clad in silver armor, had arrived on the street outside the shrine and was steadily advancing.

"Itachi, in the end, you still chose to stand with the Uchiha clan?"

Danzo narrowed his one eye, as if he had long anticipated Itachi's temporary betrayal.

"Danzo-sama, the Uchiha clan only seeks a path to survival. They have lost their desire to rebel. Do you still insist on exterminating them?"

Itachi held his ninja katana in front of him, adopting a posture ready for battle.

"Itachi, don't believe this old bastard's words. Shisui was killed by him."

"That right eye under the bandages is Shisui's eye."

Mingyou slowly stepped forward, standing beside Itachi.

Now possessing the strength of a Kage, Mingyou felt no fear, even when facing the densely packed Root members before him.

"Is that so? In that case, there's no need to hide it any longer."

Danzo raised his hand and slowly unwrapped the bandages around his right eye, revealing the crimson Mangekyo Sharingan.

"I don't mind telling you, as long as the Uchiha clan is completely wiped out tonight, your Sharingan will all be mine."

Fugaku flew in front of his two sons, staring at Shimura Danzo with eyes full of anger. "Danzo!! You old bastard, are you underestimating the Uchiha clan too much?"

"Susanoo!!"

Fugaku's chakra surged, and a bone-armored giant over ten meters tall emerged. Pale blue energy continuously flowed around the giant's body, indicating that a partially complete Susanoo had been activated.

"Mingyou!! Itachi!! Protect the clan members and retreat first. Leave these guys to me."

Fugaku stood on the forehead of the bone-armored giant, turning to shout at his two sons.

"What... What is this monster?"

"Is this the strength of the Uchiha clan leader? Truly terrifying."

Many Root members were frightened and retreated one after another. Facing such a behemoth, they had no confidence in being able to fight it.

Shimura Danzo glared back, and the two Root members at the front suddenly covered their mouths, letting out painful groans.

Before long, the two spat out blood and collapsed to the ground with a thud, no longer alive.

Clearly, he had activated the Tongue Cutting Seal.

"If anyone dares to retreat even half a step, I will immediately kill them on the spot."

"Leave this guy to me. First and Second Squads, go and hunt down the remaining members of the Uchiha."
