He headed toward the Uchiha Compound sealed behind the barrier.
Along the way, more Konoha squads rushed out of side streets, trying to stop him.
But once they saw who had come, once they saw the horrifying trail of blood and flesh on the ground, they all froze.
They became yet more statues, pale-faced and drenched in cold sweat.
The news swept through all of Konoha like a hurricane.
The Master of Las Noches, Uchiha Ryūha, had come to Konoha in person.
He had strolled in, shattered the barrier with a flick of his fingers, and burst over a dozen Root elites apart with a single cold snort.
Now, he was heading toward the Uchiha Compound.
No one could stop him.
Before the gates of the Uchiha Compound.
The pale violet barrier still shrouded the entire compound, but before Liuyu, it was as fragile as a soap bubble blown by a child.
He did not even lift a hand. He merely approached the barrier, and its shimmering membrane melted and receded on its own, like ice and snow beneath a blazing sun.
It revealed the heavy wooden gates behind it, tightly shut and carved with the clan's fan crest.
And behind those gates were the faces of Uchiha clan members, utterly terrified, yet harboring a faint, twisted anticipation.
Liuyu stopped and looked up at the enormous fan emblem above the gates, its dark surface gleaming in the moonlight.
Familiar lines.
That familiar, nauseating stench of decay and stagnation.
"What a..." His lips curled into an undisguised sneer, cold to the extreme.
"...rotten stench. After all these years, it hasn't changed a bit."
Before his words had faded-
