The covering force led by Minato had reached the outskirts of the God Tree. Twenty elite ninja spread out across different positions, waiting for orders.
"Lord Hokage, we're in position," Kakashi's voice came through the communications earpiece. "Team A has reached its designated position. Team B has reached its designated position. Team C has reached its designated position."
"Understood." Minato crouched on a branch of a dead tree, his gaze fixed on Kinshiki Otsutsuki beneath the God Tree. "All units, wait for my signal and attack simultaneously. Our objective is to draw the Ōtsutsuki's attention and create an opening for the infiltration team."
"Understood."
Minato took a deep breath and drew a specially made Flying Thunder God Kunai from his waist. Special markings engraved on the kunai allowed it to mark multiple targets at once.
"Three, two, one-"
He threw the kunai.
The kunai flew toward Kinshiki at an astonishing speed, leaving a golden trail through the air. Kinshiki opened his eyes and casually swatted at it, intending to knock it away.
Just as his hand was about to touch the kunai, Minato appeared beside it and kicked at Kinshiki's face.
Kinshiki reacted lightning-fast, clenching his other hand into a fist and smashing it toward Minato's leg. Fist and foot collided, unleashing a tremendous shock wave that snapped the surrounding trees.
"Interesting." Kinshiki took two steps back and looked at Minato. "So you're the Yellow Flash?"
"That's me." Minato landed, another kunai already in his hand. "I've heard much about you."
"Hmph." Kinshiki snorted and clenched both hands, a pair of Chakra Battle Axes appearing in his grasp. "Then let's see whether you can flash your way past my axes!"
