"Xiao Ke, slow down!"
Uchiha Matsuzaki quickened his pace to catch up, calling out to her.
The streets were unusually crowded today.
"Big brother, hurry up! I see so many good thin..."
Uchiha Ke shouted when she saw Uchiha Matsuzaki hadn't caught up yet, but her voice cut off before she could finish.
The streets were packed and chaotic; the moment Uchiha Matsuzaki realized his sister had gone silent, he rushed to where she had been.
He scanned his surroundings but couldn't find Uchiha Ke. Just as he was about to head elsewhere to search, his foot stepped on something. He immediately picked it up to take a look.
"This is... Xiao Ke's hairpin! Could it be?"
After confirming the hairpin belonged to his sister, Uchiha Matsuzaki instantly activated his Sharingan to survey the area.
A few seconds later, he detected his sister's chakra leading toward the outskirts of Konoha.
Without a second thought, Uchiha Matsuzaki vanished from his spot and reappeared where he had just sensed her.
But she was gone again, and he turned his gaze toward the forest.
"No matter who you are, if you touch my sister, I will make you wish you were dead," Uchiha Matsuzaki said, staring into the woods.
With that, he took off running into the forest.
Soon, Uchiha Matsuzaki discovered another one of his sister's personal belongings.
"Her small backpack! It looks like this is the right direction!"
"To kidnap someone in such a crowded place, their strength must be considerable. How could they let Xiao Ke drop items to leave a trail? It seems these things weren't dropped by Xiao Ke."
"If that's the case, then whoever kidnapped Xiao Ke must be coming for me!"
Uchiha looked at the backpack in his hand and pondered aloud.
He had many questions now, but no way to verify them.
Just then, Uchiha Matsuzaki suddenly sensed someone in the shadows and immediately drew his Death God scythe.
"Who's there? Come out!"
Uchiha Matsuzaki shouted toward the darkness.
Two or three seconds later, three figures emerged from the shadows, one of them a burly man carrying his sister over his shoulder.
No markings, just like last time.
Uchiha Matsuzaki thought to himself as he watched them.
"Why did you take my sister? If even a single hair on her head is harmed, I will make you suffer a fate worse than death."
Uchiha Matsuzaki lowered his blade, his eyes radiating killing intent as he spoke.
As he finished, a masked man with a build similar to Kakashi stepped forward.
"Kid, you are our target. Not your sister."
"If you surrender obediently, I guarantee your sister will be fine!"
Uchiha Matsuzaki felt extremely confused; he was just an ordinary, unremarkable person in Konoha.
Why target him specifically? If they wanted him dead, why not just assassinate him?
"You guys are truly strange."
"Tell me, what do you want from me?"
Uchiha Matsuzaki looked at the enemies before him, filled with doubt.
Upon hearing his words, the enemies exchanged glances and nodded at one another.
"There is no need to tell you now. I advise you to surrender quietly! Avoid unnecessary physical pain."
The leader exuded killing intent, then assumed a combat stance.
Uchiha Matsuzaki looked at the enemy's posture, shrugged his shoulders, and laughed: "Since you won't tell me what you want, it seems there's nothing to discuss!"
With that, he blinked, and his eyes shifted into the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
In an instant, he could clearly see the movement trajectories of everything around him and the flow of the enemies' chakra.
