"I never expected you to be such an outgoing person!"
"Looks like we really did get here too early."
"But anyway, it's better than making the girls wait for us."
Uchiha Matsuzaki watched the people passing by on the street and spoke with a smile.
Yamamoto Takeshi nodded with a smile and continued looking around.
The two of them stood there chatting for more than ten minutes before the others finally arrived.
"Hi, Matsuzaki and Yamamoto."
Chestnut Snow came over to them carrying the things they needed for the picnic.
"Zixue, you're here!" Uchiha Matsuzaki said with a smile.
One by one, the rest of them finally arrived.
There were five people in Uchiha Matsuzaki's group: two boys and three girls.
In terms of strength, the five of them weren't even close to being on the same level.
Uchiha Matsuzaki was the strongest in the group. The other four were considerably weaker.
The teacher had arranged things this way because he wanted Uchiha Matsuzaki to guide the other four and help them improve their strength.
"Yamamoto, Zixue, Flower Dance, Spirit Grass. All right, our whole team is finally here."
Uchiha Matsuzaki looked at the four people in front of him.
They were all members of Uchiha Matsuzaki's team.
I didn't expect those three girls to get along so well. It looks like Zixue, the transfer student, really knows how to make friends. She's already made some in just over a day.
Uchiha Matsuzaki watched the three girls holding hands and thought to himself.
"Now that we're all here, let's go! Oh, right, I almost forgot—where are we going?"
Uchiha Matsuzaki had just taken a bath and was getting ready to leave when he suddenly asked.
"Where else? The hill behind the village, of course! There's a wide-open meadow there, and a little river too. It's the perfect place for a picnic."
Chestnut Snow turned around with a smile, holding Flower Dance and Spirit Grass by the hand.
After saying that, the three girls walked off happily together, leaving Uchiha Matsuzaki and Yamamoto Takeshi behind.
"Well, since we don't know the way, let's leave it to them. The girls will probably pick somewhere better than we would."
Yamamoto Takeshi patted Uchiha Matsuzaki on the shoulder and smiled.
Uchiha Matsuzaki nodded and followed the three girls.
Soon, the five of them arrived at the place Chestnut Snow had just mentioned. As far as the eye could see, a wide meadow stretched out, lush and green, with a little river flowing nearby.
It really was perfect for a picnic.
"I had no idea there was a place like this behind the hill. How come I've never seen it before?"
Uchiha Matsuzaki looked around and spoke with a smile.
They found a spot and spread out a little blanket, then placed the food they'd brought on it. After that, they sat down in a circle.
It didn't take them long to arrange all their food together. The variety of dishes looked incredibly appetizing.
At their age, having a few friends to share a meal and chat with really was a wonderful thing.
