Tang San's main body resides in the God Realm as a God King, wielding Sea God and Asura divine powers. He sends a split soul to Douluo Planet to advance his plans, but the fragment develops an independent will and increasingly resists the main body's control 187 407 450.

During the continental war, Tang San releases Da Ming and Er Ming from the Clear Sky Sect's control. By loosening their restrictions, he allows the divine beasts to briefly wield Level 100 power, forcing the Sun Moon Empire to withdraw toward the Mingdou Mountains 244.

Operating undercover as a student, the split soul becomes embroiled in a prolonged rivalry with Xiao Hongchen. Repeated public defeats—particularly against Soul Tool artillery and Battle Armor—shatter Tang San's confidence and lead him to study Soul Tool construction despite his former contempt for it 278 295 296 297. His first Blue Silver Battle Armor improves his Blue Silver Grass and Soul Power recovery, but its flawed materials drain his life force and damage his soul origin 313 314.
