Some held staffs and wore long robes, humanoid in shape but with indistinct faces, cradling a river of stars whose physical laws were utterly chaotic and inverted.
Some were cosmic monsters whose bodies spanned the star river. Their forms changed constantly; every shape humans could imagine—or could not imagine—could be seen upon them.
Sensing the Sun Lord's gaze, the Yin gods turned their eyes toward him.
The next moment, Zhang Yuanqing heard a cacophony of shrill, ethereal roars at his ears. Silently, contact was established between both sides, and terrifying contamination descended through their "eye contact" in the form of rules.
Zhang Yuanqing's body began to mutate. Bewitching Demon Runes surfaced across his skin, and filthy liquid flowed from the top of his head... But as a golden Blazing Sun rose behind his head, all contamination was purified.
