Liu Chang'an pushed open the door. It seemed as though the scene from when he had come back earlier was replaying itself: Shangguan Dandan was still cradling her thermos and squinting at the television. Her gaze slowly shifted sideways and settled on Liu Chang'an, while Zhou Dongdong crawled out from beneath the heated table.
"They've started cooking upstairs. We'll be eating soon. I'm a little hungry." After just two days of Jinling-Huaiyang cuisine, he already missed Zhou Shuling's heavier flavors.
