A Fool Like Mom

After they finished eating, Liu Chang'an left with Shangguan Dandan and Zhou Dongdong. Qin Yanan saw them off at the cable car station and waved goodbye. Perhaps because she had received nutritional replenishment in some strange spacetime, Qin Yanan touched her belly and felt that the day she gave birth was no longer far off.

After Qin Yanan returned, she called Zhu Juntang. Learning that Zhu Juntang was playing with Bai Hui, she did not say much else.

She felt a little sentimental. Just as boys often could not resist the feeling of "I'm your bro, but I'm also your dad," the feeling between close female friends of "I'm your sister, but also your stepmother" seemed rather nice too.

When the child was born and ran after Zhu Juntang calling her big sister, just imagining that scene felt wonderful.

When a child first learned to talk, though, they could not play with Zhu Juntang. Otherwise, they would only bleat "Mie Mie," and Zhu Juntang would bleat even more enthusiastically. Her ears would probably be filled with overlapping cries of "Mie Mie Mie," which would be rather irritating.

Liu Chang'an took the cable car down the mountain. Worried about her electric pony cart, Shangguan Dandan hurried to where it had been parked. Seeing it safely standing where she had left it, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Thinking of how it had obediently and lonely waited for her for so long, Shangguan Dandan felt a pang of affection. She stroked its handlebars and rearview mirrors, then climbed on and hugged its front.

Zhou Dongdong saw Shangguan Dandan's concern and decided that when they got back, she would give her the little plastic lock from her craft-class materials so she could lock up her electric vehicle more securely.

Liu Chang'an saw
