Shangguan Dandan stood at the entrance to the residential complex, looking around with her head raised. She lifted her hands high and looked at the fluffy sleeve covers, finding them utterly adorable.
Because she often wore pale-colored tops such as moon-white ones, Zhou Shuling felt those clothes were too easily soiled and made her several pairs of sleeve covers, long and short. There was nothing to be done about those wide-robed, cloud-sleeved styles, though.
Shangguan Dandan's clothes were mostly Han-style. Sleeve covers could still be worn with Ming-style jackets. She bounced twice where she stood, clapped her hands, tilted her head left and right, and decided that she, too, was very cute. Then she took a sip of water.
Few people in the complex ordered delivery, so any delivery rider entering at this time could basically be assumed to be bringing Shangguan Dandan her "sliced beef and offal in chili sauce."
Delivery was nothing new. Just as in the Han Dynasty, Shangguan Dandan only had to give an order, and someone would prepare food and deliver it to her.
Three minutes later, the child and dog who had spotted Shangguan Dandan came over and stood with her at the entrance to the complex.
A sprinkler truck slowly approached, its jets blasting across the ground and sweeping leaves and scraps to the roadside. Water mist drifted through the air. With an "Awoo!" the child charged into the spray, only to be hit so hard she could not even open her eyes and hurriedly ran back. The dog also let out an "Awoo!" and did exactly the same thing.
"Hehehe..."
Besides the delivered sliced beef and offal in chili sauce, dinner also included a carefully prepared serving of spicy rooster from Zhou Shuling.
