Great Might Heavenly Dragon

In the mountain ranges, Ling Qing walked ahead with a whisk cradled in his arms.

Behind him, the Ginseng King had changed his appearance, whitening his skin, beard, and hair. He leaned on an Orach Staff with a purple-skinned gourd hanging from it.

He looked every bit the immortal sage.

When he heard that Ling Qing intended to travel the world, he too had been tempted to follow along.

He could take the chance to properly learn from Ling Qing how one should accumulate merit and virtue.

Though he had no choice but to make a journey through the mortal world in order to become an immortal, his earlier experiences still made him wary of trusting others too easily.

Following Ling Qing was at least better. Though Ling Qing had tricked him, he bore him no ill will.

"Elder Duan, I can accompany you for part of the way," Ling Qing said, looking at the Ginseng King. "But the road after that will ultimately have to be walked by you alone. Others cannot help you with it."

Knowing that he would be traveling the mortal realm, he took Duan as his surname and named himself Chenxian.

It meant severing the bonds of the mortal world, shedding the mundane to become an immortal.

Duan Chenxian felt that made sense when he heard it, though he still had concerns in his heart.

He immediately asked, "Do you have any method to teach me, Daoist, for concealing my own origins?"

"I have a technique here, the Azure Wood Spirit Transformation Art. Not only can it cultivate azure wood true qi, it can also refine a spiritual root into a Dharma artifact. If you can modify it together with the Water-Fire Spirit Refinement Art, it should be able to conceal your origins." Ling Qing
