Looking at the system's words, the light that had flared in Le Zhengyue's eyes dimmed in an instant, replaced by a deep sense of despair.
It was as though someone were playing a joke on him. He had started out with four systems, but in the end, it turned out to be much like he had suspected.
It wasn't that something had gone wrong with the era. Every protagonist from every era had returned.
"Goddammit, is this going to be a battle between gods?"
"How are we supposed to play this?"

Despair showed in Le Zhengyue's eyes. Just looking at the three protagonists was terrifying enough, but the supporting characters were even more frightening.
He had thought Qian Daoliu becoming a god was just a joke. But now, it seemed Qian Daoliu had been reborn and become the Angel God, with the strength of a First-Level God. Was that supposed to be a joke?
The fight hadn't even started, and a First-Level God was already on the board.
The problem was, no one could say whether this old ancestor felt any goodwill toward the Angel Family. After all, they had even changed their surname.

This was the first card. Two figures stood silently facing each other upon its enormous surface, one radiating holiness, the other corruption. An indescribable, dazzling power swirled around them.
Le Zhengyue stared at the scene, dumbstruck.
These were innate Twin Martial Souls: one was the Holy Angel Martial Soul, and the other was the Fallen Angel Martial Soul.
In the past, he would have been overjoyed.
But then he remembered that the Angel God had already appeared, along with those three "protagonists" who had each inherited a God King's godhood. The corner of Le Zhengyue's mouth twitched again.
His gaze shifted to the options that followed:

Le Zhengyue studied the cards in front of him. Each option looked pretty good, but none of them would help him.
For one thing, Qian Daoliu had apparently already become the Angel God. And even if he hadn't, the Angel God was only a First-Level God. Its potential couldn't compare with that of a god whose potential was at least at the God King level.
As for the Rakshasa God inheritance, with Qian Daoliu still alive, there was no need to ask about Bibi Dong.
At this point, Bibi Dong might already have secretly become the Rakshasa God. That option was no good either.
At the thought, Le Zhengyue's mouth twitched.
Although the ancestors of the Angel Family were all very powerful, there couldn't be many of them with top-tier Martial Souls.
But when he glanced farther down, he froze. The next few options were downright bizarre:

If this really had something to do with his bloodline, things would get interesting.

"But whether it's real or not, I don't think I'll survive anyway."
Le Zhengyue looked over the ten options. Every one was quite impressive; each could even be said to have the potential to lead to godhood.
If this had happened in the original era of Legend of the Dragon King, the third Douluo era, these would have been top-tier inheritances. Anyone would have been over the moon.
But now, all he could do was laugh.
He was up against three protagonists who had returned from the dead. Each had a system, and all of them had inherited the godhoods of the God Kings from that era.
He could still accept the other two.
But Tang Wulin was naturally a level above everyone else. His greatest weakness had always been his slow cultivation speed. Now that he could cultivate just as quickly as anyone else, and had the experience of Tang San and Huo Yuhao to draw on, there was no way to win.
