Background / History

Tang San was a God King who had inherited both the Sea God and Asura Godhoods. In the God Realm, he worried over the Tang Sect’s decline and the appearance of a new rising star on the Douluo Continent whose fate he could not observe. He had also prepared a larger plan involving the Child of Fate and the God Realm’s future. 3 435

After Huo Yuhao dragged him into spatial turbulence, Tang San’s reborn consciousness returned to the Douluo Continent ten thousand years earlier and occupied the body of a nameless beggar called “Xiao San.” The new body was frail, impoverished, and initially unable to support even sustained forging or cultivation. 3 10

He survived through patience, Tang Sect techniques, and murder. After killing a Star Luo City guard with hidden weapons, he discovered that the Sea God Trident had reincarnated with him and could drain a victim’s vitality and soul power. 10

Tang San later entered the Holy Spirit Cult, became its Holy Son, and pursued methods to rebuild his strength. He developed a spiritual soul core through a dangerous soul secret art, reconnected with the Godhead of Asura, and began arranging large-scale blood sacrifices to regain his divine throne. 112 453 454

Appearance

Tang San’s appearance changes sharply between his reborn mortal body and his later demonic manifestation.

  • Initially occupied the body of a skinny, malnourished ten-year-old beggar carrying a chipped bowl. 10
  • At level forty, appeared as a youth of roughly twelve or thirteen with faint purple light in his eyes. 112
  • Later became blood-haired and surrounded by a heavy evil aura. 504
  • Developed blood-red demonic markings across his body as his connection to the Asura Godhead deepened. 453
  • His eyes frequently turn crimson when agitated or wielding slaughter-aligned power. 70 507

Personality

Tang San presents himself as calm, calculating, and exceptionally wise. He repeatedly stresses patience, situational awareness, and the ability to endure humiliation until retaliation becomes advantageous. 10 69

His decisions are driven by a need to reclaim godhood, defeat Huo Yuhao, and reunite with Xiao Wu. This devotion becomes increasingly obsessive: he accepts blood sacrifice, mass destruction, manipulation, and the deaths of allies as acceptable costs for his plans. 453 506 507

He is also highly arrogant, convinced that his experience and “world-shaking wisdom” place him above others. This confidence leaves him prone to underestimating opponents such as Huo Yuhao, the Abyssal Sage King, and Ha Luosa. 33 69 517 518

  • Titan Giant Ape origin power transforms it into the Mountain-Shaking Hammer, a single-sided earth-gold hammer with increased raw destructive force. 507

The Sea God Trident reincarnated alongside Tang San and became central to his recovery.

  • Absorbs vitality and soul power from dead targets, strengthening Tang San’s body and cultivation. 10

  • His soul transmission and possession methods remain vulnerable to interference from stronger souls and the true inheritor of the Asura Godhead. 514 518 519

Blood River God-Slaying Array

Tang San adapts an array inherited from the Abyssal Sage King to recover divine power.

  • Modifies the formation into an energy-absorbing array centered on the Godhead of Asura. 453
