"Huh?"
Rin Tohsaka and Shirou Emiya, currently at the Emiya residence, stared at Sasuke in utter shock.
In response, Sasuke recounted the events involving Illya at Ryudou Temple from the previous day in much greater detail.
Compared to the astonishment of Rin Tohsaka and Shirou Emiya, Saber remained quite composed; she was far more interested in the Assassin capable of repelling Berserker.
Had he truly achieved the effect of a Noble Phantasm through sword skills alone?
Although Sasaki Kojiro, as an Assassin, had relied on the support of Caster and the advantage of the terrain, being able to repel Berserker head-on while in the Assassin class was truly extraordinary.
However, Shirou Emiya and Rin Tohsaka were also delighted, as Sasuke's answer implied he had agreed to assist them, making the prospect of crushing Caster's conspiracy seem like a sure thing.
Rin Tohsaka and Shirou Emiya exchanged glances, and then Rin Tohsaka spoke up:
"In that case, before we set off, shall we formulate a battle plan?"
But just at that moment, accompanied by the convergence of several blue streams of light, a tall young man with tan skin appeared in the living room.
The tan-skinned youth wore a tight-fitting outfit and coat in red and black, with white hair, black eyes, and his hair slicked back.
"Archer?"
Rin Tohsaka looked at her Servant, Archer, with some confusion.
Archer had originally volunteered to patrol and defend the perimeter of the residence, but for some reason, he had appeared before them now.
Archer's expression was stern and cold as he stared at Sasuke, who was sitting in the living room.
Has he finally come out?
Judging solely by his current attire, Archer felt much more like a proper Servant.
Sasuke responded to Archer's gaze with calm indifference.
In Archer's eyes, Sasuke could discern a sense of suspicion directed at him.
It was as if he were asking why this person was here.
Though he couldn't fathom what Archer was thinking, as long as the other party held no hostility, Sasuke remained indifferent.
Seeing Sasuke's reaction, Archer turned his gaze back to Rin Tohsaka:
"Rin, do you really intend to go and subjugate Caster just like this?"
Hearing this, Rin Tohsaka, unsure of what Archer was planning, frowned instantly and retorted:
"What?"
"Do you have a better idea?"
Archer shook his head with a faint, enigmatic smile:
"Setting aside the Assassin for a moment."
"If you defeat Caster now, how do you intend to deal with the remaining Berserker?"
"It would be better to let Caster continue absorbing the life force of the people, then use that power to defeat Berserker."
"We only need to strike down Caster when the time comes."
It had to be said that there was logic in what Archer was saying.
In a direct confrontation, while Archer might be able to severely wound Berserker, achieving victory would be somewhat difficult.
The strategy of the fisherman profiting while the snipe and the clam struggle was indeed the superior plan.
Shirou Emiya's expression changed drastically upon hearing Archer's words, and Saber was also moved.
But before Shirou Emiya could retort, Rin Tohsaka looked at Archer with a serious expression:
"Archer, you should know that I am the current head of the Tohsaka family, right?"
"Whether as the administrator of Fuyuki City or as an individual, Caster's actions are more than enough reason for me to prioritize her defeat."
Hearing this, Shirou Emiya's expression softened considerably; he knew Rin Tohsaka would never adopt Archer's strategy.
To Rin Tohsaka's words, Archer merely shrugged with a hint of helplessness:
"Indeed, Rin."
"But Caster is truly soft-hearted."
"If she had simply drained the lives of those people entirely, she would likely have reached the magical power required to deal with Berserker by now, wouldn't she?"
"Besides, if the people in the city were to..."
Before Archer could continue, Shirou Emiya could no longer sit still; he stood up abruptly and shouted in anger:
"You bastard, what kind of joke is that!"
"Sacrificing the people around us for the sake of victory and results—that is something I will absolutely never do!"
Regarding Shirou Emiya's anger, Archer remained indifferent:
"I wouldn't do it either, Shirou Emiya."
"But it is impossible for you to save everyone; if Caster obtains the Holy Grail, the victims will not be limited to just this city."
"If we cannot achieve final victory, the disaster will only continue to escalate."
"Therefore, sacrificing a few..."
At the table, Sasuke, who had been resting his chin in his hand as if watching a play, interrupted their bickering and stood up slowly with a calm expression:
"At the end of the day, no matter what kind of war it is, the ones who suffer most are the innocent commoners."
"Even this so-called Holy Grail War is no exception."
"The moment you magi allow your internal conflicts to drag in ordinary people, you have already lost your way."
As he spoke, Sasuke blinked, and the moment he opened his eyes again, his pitch-black pupils had transformed into the blood-red Mangekyou Sharingan.
With the Mangekyou Sharingan activated, Sasuke looked at everyone present with indifference:
"In my eyes, I don't really understand the concept of you Heroic Spirits, nor do I care to understand what's going on with all of that."
"But, no matter how much of a genius one might be."
"Before the name of Uchiha, everyone becomes a mere mortal."
Sasuke glanced at Archer to the side, stating calmly:
"If I were to take a whim, it would be enough to take the lives of you Servants."
This was not Sasuke's arrogance.
To Sasuke, the people of this world simply did not understand the power of the Uchiha.
Even though Sasuke had been immersed in a quiet life for several years, and he had no intention of leaving that life behind.
However, if anyone were to disturb Sasuke's peace, he would make sure those people disappeared from this world entirely.
The tension between Sasuke and Archer was already beginning to permeate the living room, and seeing that the situation was turning sour, Rin Tohsaka hurriedly spoke up:
"Uchiha-kun, Archer is only considering the bigger picture."
"And I..."
Before Rin Tohsaka could finish, Sasuke interrupted her once again:
"It doesn't matter."
"I just find it laughable that you are arguing endlessly over this matter."
"Perhaps you and Shirou Emiya are not that kind of people."
"If you were, you wouldn't have saved Kaoru back then."
In truth, having differing opinions was normal.
However, Sasuke felt nothing for these so-called Servants; they were just a bunch of ghosts, and if they died, they died.
But as for Shirou Emiya and Rin Tohsaka, Sasuke would always remember the kindness they showed in saving Kaoru.
"So, if you wish to continue arguing, I have no objections."
"But after tonight, Caster and Assassin will both vanish from this world."
"Only one pair of Master and Servant can win the Holy Grail War in the end, right?"
"You might as well spend tonight discussing which of you is the pair qualified to claim that victory."
With those words, Sasuke turned to leave.
But just then, Shirou Emiya stood up and looked toward Sasuke, saying with a firm gaze:
"Mr. Uchiha, please let Saber and me assist you!"
