Archer's Confession?

Rin Tohsaka had no idea what had gotten into Archer today; he was acting like he'd swallowed gunpowder, snapping at everyone in sight.

Although Rin Tohsaka was also curious about the true identity of Sasuke Uchiha, based on what she had learned over these past few days, she knew better.

Sasuke Uchiha was absolutely not the type of person who enjoyed being probed.

The heavy atmosphere was so stifling that Rin Tohsaka even found it difficult to breathe.

The scent of gunpowder in the air had permeated the entire living room.

In the face of Archer's interrogation, Sasuke's expression remained completely unmoved; instead, he took what he considered to be the most effective course of action.

In an instant, Sasuke's deep black eyes transformed into the Mangekyou Sharingan, and a crimson, dark light flashed across his pupils the very next moment.

Sasuke's reason for using the illusion on Archer was simple: he wanted to force Archer to reveal his identity.

But unfortunately, even though Archer had lost control of his own body, he still managed to keep his mouth shut.

To this, Sasuke merely let out a cold sneer:

"You are worthy of being called a Heroic Spirit, I suppose."

It was obvious from Archer's previous conversations with Sasuke, as well as his current remarks, that Sasuke could at least guess that Archer knew him.

However, Sasuke was certain that he did not know Archer. That was why he had resorted to genjutsu, hoping to force Archer to spill what he was hiding.

But clearly, he had failed.

Since that was the case, Sasuke had no desire to delve into Archer's various behaviors, nor did he have the patience to understand them.

After all, there were many people in this world who wanted to understand Sasuke, but he didn't have the time or patience to answer them one by one.

Of course, if Archer wanted to make an enemy of Sasuke, that was fine too.

But Archer would undoubtedly be killed by Sasuke.

Although Sasuke owed Rin Tohsaka a favor because of Kaoru Sakura, that did not mean Archer was included in that grace.

Rin Tohsaka was so pressed by the heavy atmosphere that she couldn't speak.

Seeing this, Shirou Emiya and Saber were at a loss for what to do.

Watching Archer, who looked as if he were about to shatter his own teeth, Sasuke let out a cold snort. As the blood-red vortex in his eyes spun, the Mangekyou Sharingan reverted to its Three Tomoe state.

Only then did Archer break free from Sasuke's genjutsu, though there wasn't a trace of anger on his face.

Seeing this, Sasuke closed his eyes with a flat expression:

"Don't come looking for me until you've all reached an agreement."

The moment he finished speaking, white mist exploded from Sasuke's body. As the mist dissipated, his Shadow Clone dispelled itself.

For a moment, the Emiya residence fell into silence once again.

Rin Tohsaka, having finally caught her breath, looked at Archer with a complex expression:

"Archer, what exactly do you know?"

"Are you still not planning to tell us, even now?"

"You know Sasuke Uchiha, don't you?"

Shirou Emiya and Saber now turned their gazes toward Archer as well.

Archer, who had kept his eyes closed since Sasuke left, sighed with a hint of helplessness:

"Indeed."

"But that is a matter from my life before I became a Heroic Spirit."

Following Archer's admission, Rin Tohsaka stood up abruptly and marched toward him, fuming with rage!

However, because Archer was so much taller than her, she didn't look the least bit imposing.

Even so, it was clear that Rin Tohsaka was furious:

"Archer!"

"You really have regained your memories!"

Hearing this, Archer spread his hands helplessly:

"Not exactly."

"I have only recovered some of them."

Rin Tohsaka was in no mood to believe Archer's nonsense now, and she glared at him, saying:

"Archer, since you knew Sasuke Uchiha in your past life..."

"That means you are a Heroic Spirit from the modern era or the future, right?"

The Throne of Heroes had no concept of time; Heroic Spirits from the past and the future were viewed as equals.

Therefore, it is not impossible to summon a Heroic Spirit from the future.

Archer did not refute this, responding instead with a calm expression:

"You could understand it that way."

It seemed Archer did not wish to dwell on the matter, as he shifted the topic in the very next sentence:

"Regarding Sasuke Uchiha, although I had some dealings with him during my lifetime."

"To be honest, I never truly understood that man until the very end."

"While I knew he was Japanese, I never expected to see him here."

As he spoke, Archer let out a few wry chuckles:

"It was indeed the wisest choice for you not to provoke him."

"After all, you have witnessed his strength with your own eyes."

"However, should you ever find yourselves standing in opposition to him,"

"He will kill you without a shred of mercy."

"That is all I know; the rest remains somewhat of a blur."

Rin Tohsaka would only believe half of what Archer said, for it was impossible to tell which of his words were true and which were false.

Yet, if these words of Archer's were indeed true, his identity remained all the more enigmatic.

After all, even Archer had not expected to encounter Sasuke Uchiha in Fuyuki.

But if this statement were false, then there was much more to scrutinize.

Regardless, the most critical issue now was not Sasuke Uchiha, but this cursed Holy Grail War.

Rin Tohsaka turned to look at Shirou Emiya and Saber with a grave expression:

"Let us set other matters aside for now."

"Since we already know the true nature of this Holy Grail War, we must formulate a corresponding strategy."

If the Holy Grail were truly a great catastrophe, the Tohsaka family, as the administrators of Fuyuki, would naturally have to bear the primary responsibility.

Shirou Emiya naturally would not refuse, standing up and looking at Rin Tohsaka with a serious face as he replied:

"If the Holy Grail will bring disaster to humanity, then I will absolutely stop it!"

As these words were spoken, the expressions of everyone present varied.

There was a complexity in Rin Tohsaka's eyes, though at this moment, she could not quite put it into words.

Shirou Emiya clearly did not notice this, turning instead to look at Saber, who had been silent for a long time.

Saber had responded to the summons in pursuit of the Holy Grail to fulfill her own wish, only to be met with such a result.

However, Shirou Emiya, who had summoned her, had not known the inside story of the Holy Grail War.

Furthermore, Saber also identified with Shirou Emiya's ideals.

Saber sat in her seat, looking at Shirou Emiya and Rin Tohsaka with righteous conviction:

"If the Holy Grail is such a hideous and unsightly thing, then it is naturally not the object of my pursuit."

"Therefore, Shirou."

"In this matter, I will lend you my strength."

The group smiled at one another, though Archer, standing to the side, remained completely unmoved.

Seeing that their opinions were unified, Rin Tohsaka spoke up:

"Then, shall we rest for today?"

"Perhaps tomorrow during the day, we should go to the church and pay a visit to that fake priest."

"As the supervisor of this Holy Grail War, he should know better how to handle this situation."

Hearing this, Saber looked at Rin Tohsaka and cautioned:

"Rin, Shirou."

"I have something to say regarding that priest."

For a moment, everyone looked toward Saber.

Saber gazed at the group with a solemn expression:

"Just as you heard today in the Einzbern Forest,"

"During the Holy Grail War ten years ago, I was also summoned to this era to participate in the battle as the servant of the Einzberns."

"The Master I followed at that time was Kiritsugu Emiya."

"However, among all the Masters, Kiritsugu regarded that priest as his greatest enemy."

"As for the reason, I do not know."

Having only met the priest once, Shirou Emiya could not see what exactly was wrong with him.

Meanwhile, Rin Tohsaka fell into silence.
