Miyama Town Shopping District, Fuyuki City.
Fish Fresh House.
Eleven o'clock at night.
In the second-floor living room, a bleary-eyed Kaoru Sakura lay slumped over the table.
Kaoru Sakura only remembered going to the amusement park with Illya, though she had forgotten what they played.
Was it the carousel, the pirate ship, the roller coaster, the Ferris wheel, or perhaps the bumper cars?
Or had she played them all?
Regardless, both of them had been exhausted by the end of it.
Illya had even fallen asleep from sheer fatigue.
Having just woken up, Kaoru Sakura felt nothing but an intense, gnawing hunger, too lazy to think about anything else.
If Kaoru Sakura knew she had experienced such a legendary day, she would likely have assumed it was all a dream.
Only the living room and kitchen lights were still on upstairs.
The warm yellow glow cast a soft halo, illuminating the living room and making it feel like a quiet, cozy sanctuary.
The atmosphere was tranquil; wrapped in a blanket, Kaoru Sakura sat at the table, comfortably clutching a cup filled with hot tea.
The rising steam, carrying a faint fragrance of tea, permeated the living room.
Outside the window, the pitch-black sky was dotted with stars and a bright moon, a gentle breeze brushed against the window screens, and the chirping of insects in the distance all spoke to this serenity.
Before long, Sasuke, wearing a black apron, walked out of the sweltering kitchen carrying a bowl of ramen.
With a calm expression, Sasuke placed the ramen on the table in front of Kaoru Sakura:
"Eat."
Because it was so late and there weren't many ingredients left, Sasuke had simply whipped up a bowl of ramen for Kaoru Sakura.
Although it was just a simple bowl of miso ramen, the starving Kaoru Sakura ate it with great gusto.
After all, she hadn't eaten for nearly an entire day.
As she ate, Kaoru Sakura seemed to recall something; she turned around and pulled her small bag from the sofa to her side.
"Big brother, it seems like Illya paid for everything when we went out today."
"I don't think I spent any money..."
Kaoru Sakura pondered while holding the stack of cash in her hand; she had only taken a nap, so why was her memory so fuzzy?
However, Kaoru Sakura didn't dwell on it, instead pushing the money toward Sasuke, who was sitting across the table, though her eyes betrayed a hint of reluctance.
She knew this was her brother's hard-earned salary.
Watching Kaoru Sakura's reluctant little gaze, Sasuke, sitting at the table with his chin in his hand, said nonchalantly:
"Keep it."
"This stuff is useless to me."
Although Sakura Masayoshi paid Sasuke a handsome salary every month, to be honest, money was of no use to Sasuke.
Sasuke had nothing he needed to buy, at most just some essential daily necessities.
As for seasonal clothing, if he gave the money to Kaoru Sakura, she would help him pick them out.
Therefore, money was not a particularly important thing to Sasuke.
Hearing this, Kaoru Sakura looked delighted, unceremoniously taking the money back with a chuckle:
"Thanks, brother."
Getting Kaoru Sakura to say the word 'thanks' was no easy feat.
Perhaps this was just what a real little sister was like?
Kaoru Sakura was still immersed in the joy of receiving money, muttering to herself:
"Next time we go out, I definitely can't let Illya spend her own money."
As if thinking of something else, Kaoru Sakura looked at Sasuke with a mysterious expression:
"By the way, big brother, guess how old Illya is this year?"
Sasuke replied with an indifferent look:
"Not interested."
But Kaoru Sakura's enthusiasm wasn't dampened by Sasuke, and she continued:
"Eighteen!"
"That's why I call her Illya."
"Aren't you surprised, big brother?"
How could Sasuke possibly be surprised by such a thing? He wasn't even interested.
"Just eat your noodles."
Seeing that Sasuke Uchiha really had no interest, Kaoru Sakura stuck her tongue out at him to express her slight dissatisfaction.
But Kaoru Sakura was not the type of person who could stay quiet for long, and she soon spoke up again:
"Right, where is Grandpa?"
Sasuke Uchiha, who was resting with his eyes closed while propping up his chin, replied:
"Didn't I tell you already?"
"The old man is going fishing with Hirata for a few days, so he probably won't be around for a while."
Although Sakura Masayoshi always said he would be back in two or three days, it was basically a week at minimum, and sometimes he wouldn't return for ten days or half a month.
However, with Sasuke Uchiha's Shadow Clone secretly following him the whole time, there wouldn't be any mishaps.
"Oh, I see."
Kaoru Sakura nodded, blew on the steaming noodle broth, and took a blissful sip.
At the same time, she felt it was a pity that Illya was asleep, as missing out on such a midnight delicacy was truly a regret in life.
After eating and drinking her fill, Kaoru Sakura asked about the important matter:
"Big brother, can we let Illya stay with us for a few days?"
When Kaoru Sakura had just woken up, Illya hadn't fallen asleep yet.
Perhaps because she had played too hard today, Kaoru Sakura felt that Illya was very exhausted.
Even though Illya said she was fine.
And she even said she wanted to stay at Kaoru Sakura's house for a few days.
Illya didn't explain the reason, because she didn't know how to say it either.
But Kaoru Sakura didn't care about the reason and readily agreed.
Hearing this, Sasuke Uchiha opened his eyes to look at Kaoru Sakura's expectant expression, then closed them again:
"Suit yourself."
With that, Sasuke Uchiha stood up, picked up Kaoru Sakura's empty noodle bowl, and walked toward the kitchen.
Kaoru Sakura was overjoyed; now she wouldn't be bored at all. She walked with happy steps to wash up, preparing to share a bed with Illya.
Before long, accompanied by the light sound of Kaoru Sakura closing the door after finishing her wash, the entire room fell into silence once again.
After washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen, Sasuke Uchiha also took off his apron to get some rest.
But with Illya, the vessel for the Holy Grail, at Fish Fresh House, how could she possibly let Sasuke Uchiha enjoy any peace?
Trouble would always follow one after another.
Just as Sasuke Uchiha, who had been busy all day, intended to return to his room to rest his eyes, his gaze suddenly sharpened.
The next moment, accompanied by a gust of wind, Sasuke Uchiha vanished from the living room.
When he reappeared, Sasuke Uchiha had already arrived on the rooftop of Fish Fresh House.
The cold midnight wind blew against Sasuke Uchiha's clothes, causing the bangs hanging over his forehead to sway.
Apart from the bright moonlight illuminating the shopping street, there was no other light, making it look very quiet.
However, Sasuke Uchiha, who had already activated his Mangekyou Sharingan, stood on the rooftop of Fish Fresh House, looking indifferently at what was in front of him:
"If you don't have a reason sufficient to convince me."
"Archer."
"I will make you vanish into nothingness."
The person who had come was none other than Archer, who had been attacked by Sasuke Uchiha's genjutsu at the Emiya residence earlier today.
Although he had lived a stable and peaceful life for a few years since coming to this world, Sasuke Uchiha's personality had not changed at all.
If Archer's reason could not convince Sasuke Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha would end his life tonight.
How could Archer not know of Sasuke Uchiha's uncompromising nature? He looked at Sasuke Uchiha with a serious expression:
"What if I told you that I am Shirou Emiya."
"Sasuke Uchiha."
"Are you interested in that reason?"
