Background / History

Tang San leads the Shrek Academy group in pursuing a wounded Man Faced Demon Spider, which he considers ideal for his third soul ring. When Qin Chuan identifies the spider as his own prey, Tang San directs his companions to secure it and refuses to yield it. 1

During the dispute, Tang San uses Blue Silver Grass to restrain Qin Chuan and prepares poisoned hidden weapons intended to end Qin Chuan's cultivation. After Qin Chuan overwhelms the group, Tang San urges Zhao Wuji to kill him rather than allow a dangerous enemy to grow stronger. 2 3

Tang San's conflict with Qin Chuan continues after the initial encounter. He holds Qin Chuan responsible for the Titan Giant Ape incident and Xiao Wu's apparent abduction, attempts to turn Shrek Academy against him, and repeatedly seeks intervention from stronger allies. 33 35

Qin Chuan eventually breaks through Flender and Zhao Wuji's defense and brutally defeats Tang San. Personality

Tang San is calculating and highly protective of his own interests. He presents the Shrek group's claim to the Man Faced Demon Spider as justified, even though Qin Chuan had wounded and tracked the beast first. 1 2

When threatened by Qin Chuan's superior strength, Tang San favors permanently removing the danger. He urges Zhao Wuji to kill Qin Chuan, later pushes Flender to act against him, and calls for protection when Qin Chuan targets him directly. 3 33 35
