Background / History

Life in Holy Soul Village

After Ah Yin sacrificed herself during Tang Hao's battle against Qian Xunji's forces, Tang Hao escaped with Tang Yin and Ah Yin's Seed of Life, while Tang San was taken by Martial Soul Hall. He subsequently lived with Tang Yin in Holy Soul Village for six harsh years. 1

Tang Hao ran the village blacksmith shop but neglected both the work and his son: he spent most of the shop's earnings on wine, consumed Tang Yin's food, and left him in poverty. 1 Tang Yin's awakening as an Innate Full Soul Power wielder triggered an emotional breakdown from Tang Hao, who saw Ah Yin in his son's changed appearance. 3

When Tang Yin revealed his Twin Martial Souls—the Blue Silver Emperor and a Mutated Clear Sky Hammer—Tang Hao recognized the hammer's exceptional destructive power. He forbade Tang Yin from exposing it and initially refused to let him attend a Soul Master academy, instead teaching him forging. 3

Concealed Guidance

Tang Hao later approached Tang Yin under a concealed identity, accepted him as a nominal disciple, and personally took him to obtain his first Soul Ring. Tang Yin tested at level 13 after the hunt. 7

Although Tang Hao kept watch over Tang Yin's growth from a distance, their interactions remained strained. He was shocked by Tang Yin's rapid progress, including his approach to level 40, but struggled to speak to him as a father. 50 105

Recovering Tang San

During the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament, Tang Hao discovered that the Martial Soul Hall team member wielding the Clear Sky Hammer was Tang San, the son he believed dead. Enraged that Martial Soul Hall had raised Tang San, he resolved to take him back. 104

Tang Hao later appeared before Tang Yin, disclosed Ah Yin's sacrifice and Tang San's identity, and asked Tang Yin not to harm his younger brother. Tang Yin accepted the request without warmth, regarding Tang Hao as emotionally optional in his life. 106

Tang Hao abducted Tang San from Martial Soul City and overwhelmed Yue Guan and Gui Mei despite his severe internal injuries. He then revealed Tang San's lineage and warned him that Martial Soul Hall had endangered him by attaching Soul Rings to both Twin Martial Souls. 116 117

Supporting Both Sons

Tang Hao placed Tang San under Yu Xiaogang's care, but he prioritized Tang Yin's potential and preparations for Slaughter City. He gave Tang San a Soul Bone after his failed fifth-ring absorption, then personally accompanied him to obtain a safer Lone Bamboo Soul Ring. 126 137

He assisted Tang Yin in killing a ten-thousand-year Thunder Hell Vine, guarded him through the resulting Soul Ring absorption, and gave him a map to Slaughter City. Tang Hao expressed rare pride when Tang Yin reached level 63 and became a Soul Emperor. 129

Atonement and Recovery

Seeking to atone for the disaster that had befallen the Clear Sky Sect, Tang Hao asked Tang Yin to acknowledge the sect's ancestors on his behalf. He intended to remove his inherited Soul Bones as restitution; Tang Yin delivered the two Soul Bones to Sect Master Tang Xiao and the elders. 154 156

After losing his limbs and much of his cultivation, Tang Hao recuperated at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with medicinal pills refined by Tang Yin. 161 Following Tang Yin's rise against Martial Soul Hall, Tang Yin restored Tang Hao's severed limbs with life force and the Sea God's Light. 201
