She was just about to speak when she saw Ji Feng looking at Tang San with a faint, amused smile.
"Tang San, giving people advice again?"
Tang San's expression didn't change. "I was only offering Rongrong a suggestion."
Ji Feng didn't bother answering him.
Tang San was the sort of person who was rotten to the core with hypocrisy.
Just as Ji Feng was about to say something, a deep, booming shout suddenly rang out.
"Ji Feng!"
The sound rolled through the air, carrying an oppressive force.
Yu Xiaogang strode over, his face as dark as still water.
He stepped directly in front of Ning Rongrong and fixed his gaze on Ji Feng.
"If you don't leave soon, I'll destroy you at any cost!"
His voice was ironclad.
This arrogant brat—I've wanted to teach him a lesson for ages!
Ji Feng smiled.
It was a faint, almost weightless smile, yet it sent a chill through Yu Xiaogang.
Gangzi was as arrogant and ignorant as ever.
"Destroy me?"
Ji Feng's gaze passed over Yu Xiaogang and fell on Ning Rongrong.
"You still haven't said what we're betting."
Ning Rongrong felt a little unnerved beneath his gaze.
But her young-miss temper instantly overwhelmed that trace of unease.
You think I'm afraid of you? I'm the Young Miss of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect!
She lifted her chin, her tone as haughty as could be.
"Let's bet on mental strength. Do you dare?"
The Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda had exceptionally strong Mental Attributes. That was my advantage!
Ji Feng said nothing.
He saw exactly who was behind all this.
Tang San, you again.
Wasn't this just because you knew her Martial Soul excelled at mental strength?
Yu Xiaogang sneered from the side. "What, don't dare?"
"It's not that I don't dare."
Ji Feng slowly raised his right hand.
A dim light blossomed from his palm, and ancient runes appeared out of thin air.
A phantom of the Eastern Emperor slowly took shape behind him.
A crown rested on his head, and his gaze was sharp as lightning.
Yu Xiaogang's expression changed dramatically.
Tang San's pupils also contracted sharply.
What kind of Martial Soul was this?!
Ji Feng's voice was calm as still water.
"I was just thinking..."
"If you want to bet on mental strength, then this is perfect."
The phantom of the Eastern Emperor behind him let out a deep dragon's roar.
The wind and clouds changed color.
"My Second Martial Soul is called Eastern Emperor Taiyi."
Ning Rongrong's face instantly turned deathly pale.
A...Second Martial Soul?!
Ji Feng looked at her, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.
"I accept your bet."
The wind suddenly stopped across the plaza.
The phantom of the Eastern Emperor behind Ji Feng slowly took shape, a dim light swirling around the crown atop its head.
Ning Rongrong gritted her teeth and opened her palm. A crystal-clear glazed pagoda appeared.
Seven-colored light burst forth, enveloping her.
"The Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda, the greatest support-type Martial Soul in the world!"
Ning Rongrong raised her chin.
"Ji Feng, what can you possibly compare to my mental strength with?"
My Martial Soul was born with powerful mental strength. What makes you think you can beat me?
She pointed a finger. Her first Soul Skill activated, and a seven-colored beam shot toward Ji Feng with a thunderous crash.
Ji Feng remained calm and slightly raised his right hand.
First Soul Skill, Solar Eclipse Rite.
A tide of dim light surged forth and slammed into the seven-colored beam.
Boom!
The instant the two forces collided, the seven-colored beam seemed to be swallowed up, rapidly dissolving.
Ning Rongrong's pupils contracted.
"How is that possible?!"
She gritted her teeth and activated her second Soul Skill. The glazed pagoda blazed brightly, and her mental strength condensed into countless needles of light.
They poured down like a torrential rain.
Ji Feng didn't even look at them. With a casual sweep of his left hand, he dismissed them.
Second Soul Skill, Radiant Dragon Candle Omen.
The phantom of the Eastern Emperor behind him opened its eyes, and a phantom of a Radiant Dragon roared forth.
Its dragon's roar shook the heavens. Before the dragon's shadow, the needles of light shattered one after another like paper.
Ning Rongrong staggered back three steps, cold sweat beading on her forehead.
My mental attacks...were all broken?
"No, it's not over yet!"
She bit her lip and unleashed her fourth Soul Skill with all her strength. Runes lit up on every level of the glazed pagoda.
Her mental strength crashed toward Ji Feng like a tsunami, sweeping over him from every direction.
Ji Feng lifted his eyelids and glanced at her.
"That's about enough."
He abandoned the idea of continuing to fend her off with his first and second Soul Skills.
His right hand slowly curled into a fist, and the phantom of the Eastern Emperor behind him suddenly swelled.
Third Soul Skill, Fallen God Contract.
The next second, a dense cloud of black smoke exploded from Ji Feng.
The smoke seemed alive. It lunged at Ning Rongrong, moving so fast she had no time to react.
In an instant, it enveloped her whole body.
Ning Rongrong's vision went black. An icy, eerie force wound tightly around her.
It was as if countless invisible chains had bound her in place.
She couldn't move.
"What's happening...? I...I can't move!"
She frantically urged her Soul Power, but the black smoke only tightened around her.
What frightened her even more was that the smoke seemed to be tracing her outline. From her shoulders to her waist, she could clearly feel every inch of herself.
The corners of Ji Feng's mouth slowly curved upward.
Through his perception of the black smoke, he could clearly see every contour of Ning Rongrong's body.
Slender and shapely, with distinct curves.
"I'll collect the interest myself."
He raised his right hand and spread his fingers slightly.
The black smoke condensed into the shape of a large, translucent hand, slowly reaching toward Ning Rongrong, who was bound in place.
Ning Rongrong's eyes widened. "What are you doing?!"
Before she could finish, the palm formed from black smoke landed directly on her left breast.
The five senses were connected.
A Soul Master's Soul Power was linked to the five senses. If a Martial Soul grabbed her, it was no different from the hand truly grabbing her.
Ning Rongrong's mind went completely blank.
Her body stiffened.
A clear, burning pressure squeezed against her chest, as if a real hand were brazenly gripping that softness.
The hand even tightened slightly.
She felt as if her heart were about to stop beating.
Time seemed to freeze in that instant.
Then Ning Rongrong's face flared red, as if it were about to drip blood.
"You!!! You bastard!"
She screamed with all her strength, her voice shrill enough to pierce the clouds.
She tried to struggle, but the black smoke held her fast. The harder she tried to break free, the tighter it seemed to hold her.
The hand remained firmly over her chest, neither loosening nor tightening.
At the edge of the plaza.
Zhu Zhuqing had just walked out of the dormitory building when she stopped in her tracks.
Her cool eyes widened slightly, a flicker of disbelief passing through them.
Was that...Ning Rongrong?
Had Ji Feng's Martial Soul grabbed her there?
She pressed her lips together and looked away without changing her expression, though the tips of her ears turned faintly red.
At the center of the plaza, the fight was already over.
Ning Rongrong was firmly trapped in a vortex formed from black smoke, her body suspended in midair.
The large hand remained on her chest, brazenly and unmistakably.
Her eyes brimmed with tears—not from pain, but from shame, fury, and disbelief.
"Let go of me!"
She roared, her voice already hoarse.
Ning Rongrong trembled all over, humiliation burning through her pride like flames.
She was the Young Miss of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Since childhood, who had ever dared lay a finger on her?
How could I possibly lose?!
Outside the plaza.
Yu Xiaogang's eyes widened, and his lips trembled.
"What kind of Martial Soul is that?!"
He stared at the dense black smoke, his mind racing, yet none of the knowledge he had accumulated could explain the scene before him.
I've never seen mental strength like this before...and it's so overpowering!
