Background / History

Su Yu is a transmigrator in a Douluo Continent overwhelmed by systems, cheats, and reincarnation-related powers. Unlike most transmigrators he encounters, he possesses no system of his own. Instead, his unusual perception allows him to see the system panels, tasks, rewards, and underlying logic attached to others. He calls this ability the Eye of Truth. 2

In Holy Soul Village, Su Yu becomes Tang Wu's protector after recognizing that system-bearing transmigrators view her as a valuable target. He blocks Tang Hao/Zhao Si's attention, counters Li Hu's attempted luck plunder, and redirects Zhang San's system-issued attack toward Wang Dachui. 2 3

During his martial soul awakening, Su Yu formally awakens the Eye of Truth and a second martial soul, the Conceptual Eraser. Realizing that it can alter system text and thus turn system hosts' own missions against them, he resolves to eliminate the “parasites” draining the continent's origin power. 3

After entering Nuoding Primary Soul Master Academy with Tang Wu, Su Yu recruits Xiao Wu as an ally and ace enforcer. He exploits Zhao Dabao's sign-in system for rewards, protects Tang Wu from Yu Xiaogang's forced apprenticeship scheme, and later absorbs the Origin Fragment left by Yu Xiaogang's collapsed system. 16 20 29 42

Following six years at Nuoding, Su Yu covertly clears low-level system hosts across Nuoding City, absorbing their residual origin energy while avoiding direct exposure. After graduation, he leads Tang Wu and Xiao Wu toward Shrek Academy near Suotuo City, intending to harvest stronger system origins gathered there. 46 47 48

He is fiercely protective of Tang Wu and takes responsibility for the safety of Xiao Wu and their wider team. Although he can be mischievous—particularly when humiliating Yu Xiaogang—he is deliberate in using his abilities against those he views as predatory system hosts. 2 16 30

Soul Hunting Forest

Su Yu leads Tang Wu and Xiao Wu into the forest to acquire soul rings. After Yu Xiaogang's system collapses, he absorbs its Origin Fragment, reaches level 13 without a soul ring, and unlocks the Advancement Permission. 36 42 43

Nuoding Cleanup and Graduation

Over six years, Su Yu covertly eliminates low-level system hosts in Nuoding City and absorbs their residual system origin. He graduates alongside Tang Wu and Xiao Wu before beginning his larger-scale “Hunting Plan.” 46
