As the Teleportation Array lit up, Ailin's figure vanished.
After seeing Ailin leave, Hamdan let out a soft breath and muttered, "The Netherworld. What a pity. If he had gone to the Wind Element Divine Plane, perhaps I could have recruited a powerful expert for the family."
Plane Guardians were members of the Overgod's army, but most of them had families of their own.
Many times, while guarding Material Planes, they would choose outstanding life forms and guide them toward a certain Divine Plane, where they would eventually join certain factions.
Hamdan was no exception. His family was based in the Wind Element Divine Plane. Whenever he encountered someone with decent talent, he would pay special attention to them and subtly guide them toward the Wind Element Divine Plane.
Most people knew little about the Divine Planes. More than ninety percent would heed his advice.
It could be said that most life forms from the Brinia Plane who traveled to Divine Planes ended up in the Wind Element Divine Plane.
Of course, even if they went to the Wind Element Divine Plane, whether they would ever connect with his family remained unknown. After all, the places where everyone was teleported into the Divine Planes were not fixed.
Thus, Plane Guardians like them did this with the mentality of casting a line and seeing what they could catch. They would not force anyone to go. As for those people's futures, no one could say for certain.
However, when it came to a "powerful expert" at Ailin's level, Hamdan did not dare interfere much. Where Ailin wanted to go was entirely up to him.
After sending Ailin away, Hamdan quietly let out another breath. For some reason, he felt much more relaxed.
When he had succeeded the previous Plane Guardian and arrived at the Brinia Plane, Pavlos had already become a High-God. Not long afterward, Pavlos had been controlled by a Soul Seed. Thus, Pavlos had been the master of the Brinia Plane.
Later, after Pavlos was slain by Ailin, Hamdan had remained cautious despite Ailin taking no action against him. He had even rarely left Wind Thunder Mountain.
It could be said that ever since becoming the Plane Guardian of the Brinia Plane, he had spent countless hundreds of millions of years walking on thin ice. His life had been even more stressful than it had been in a Divine Plane. Had he known this would happen, he would never have come to the Brinia Plane.
And now that Ailin had left, surely no one on Brinia Continent was stronger than him anymore.
Feeling somewhat excited, Hamdan looked in the direction of Brinia Continent and muttered to himself, "It is time to make another trip and see whether anyone wants to go to a Divine Plane. Not many powerful experts have gone to Divine Planes in the past million years."
Without hesitating for even a second, Hamdan flew directly toward Brinia Continent.
The Death Supreme Plane, one of the four Supreme Planes, was also known as the Netherworld.
The Netherworld had only one continent, known as the Netherworld Continent. Beyond it lay the endless Nether Sea.
Of the Netherworld's two Teleportation Arrays, one stood on the Sacred Mountain of the Undead on the Netherworld Continent. Using it as the boundary, the northern part of the continent was inhabited by endless Undead. This region was known as the "Undead Realm."
The southern region of the continent was what most people considered the "Netherworld."
The other Teleportation Array was located in the boundless Nether Sea.
Blood Spirit Island was where the Teleportation Array in the Nether Sea was located.
Deep within the Nether Sea, Blood Spirit Island was shrouded year-round in a crimson mist. From afar, it resembled a colossal, terrifying blood-red phantom floating upon the Nether Sea, hence its name, "Blood Spirit Island."
Blood Spirit Island, along with the surrounding waters, belonged to the territory of Blood Phantom Prefecture. Blood Phantom Prefecture was one of the Netherworld's eighty-one prefectures.
Though Blood Spirit Island was merely an island, its area spanned nearly ten million li, comparable to a small continent in a Material Plane. Yet in the Netherworld, it was considered nothing more than an island.
The center of Blood Spirit Island was a forbidden area. There stood a towering pagoda that pierced straight into the crimson clouds. The entire pagoda was a dark red, emanating an aura of grim slaughter.
Before the pagoda was a vast open space. At its center stood two enormous Magic Arrays—the Teleportation Arrays.
Around the Teleportation Arrays stood soldiers assigned to guard them, as well as quite a few "life forms" from various planes. However, those who had dominated their Material Planes now stood in designated areas like "quails," not even daring to make the slightest sound.
They had personally witnessed several clueless individuals being casually executed by the soldiers.
"Every time we take a rotation guarding this place, we run into some arrogant fools."
A soldier with a peculiar single horn looked at those from the Material Planes and spoke in a teasing tone. Just moments ago, he had killed a Saint Domain expert from a Material Plane.
"Those Plane Guardians who send these people to the Netherworld may not necessarily mean well."
Another soldier with a human appearance casually replied, "They certainly do not explain things too clearly."
"Still, being a Plane Guardian is quite nice. Much more comfortable than our jobs."
The horned soldier clicked his tongue.
"Stop dreaming. A cushy position like Plane Guardian will never fall to the likes of us."
The human-looking soldier shook his head. "Honestly guarding the Teleportation Arrays and earning Nether Stones is the proper path."
As the two chatted, one of the Teleportation Arrays suddenly lit up.
Both immediately focused their attention on the Teleportation Array. Guarding it was hardly an easy job. Though a given Material Plane might not send someone to a Divine Plane every day, and even those who went to Divine Planes might not come to the Netherworld, while those who came to the Netherworld might not emerge from the Teleportation Array they guarded.
But there were countless Material Planes. That enormous base meant they still received many life forms from Material Planes every day. If they did not send off batches of people whenever the numbers grew large enough, this place would have long since been packed with people from the Material Planes.
Moments of leisure when they could chat like before were truly rare.
"Someone else has come to the Netherworld from a Material Plane. This batch should be enough."
The horned soldier stared at the Teleportation Array as he spoke.
As the light of the Teleportation Array faded, Ailin appeared at its center.
Although he had long known how remarkable Teleportation Arrays were, experiencing one personally still felt incredible. Ailin had merely felt the light envelop him. In that instant, both his Divine Sense and vision had ceased to function, and he had felt slightly dizzy. Of course, that sensation lasted only a moment.
When his vision returned, he was no longer in the Brinia Plane.
The elemental essence of heaven and earth is so dense.
Ailin immediately sensed the Netherworld's uniqueness. And this gravity is extraordinary as well. No wonder Saint Domain experts cannot fly. It is fundamentally different from a Material Plane.
From the memories of his past life, he had only known that Saint Domain experts could not fly in Divine Planes. According to the descriptions, however, the gravity in a Divine Plane was only around a hundred times that of a Material Plane. He had been curious at the time. Saint Domain experts in a Material Plane could easily destroy mountains, so could they truly not offset even a hundredfold gravity?
Only now did Ailin truly understand the difference.
This gravity was not merely a kind of pressure; it exerted the same effect on the soul.
It could be said that this pressure manifested everywhere. Most importantly, it pressed upon different parts of the body separately, seemingly with some peculiar connection between them. In the end, it produced an exponential-like increase. The effect it created was far more than a simple hundredfold.
It was like this: if a hundredfold pressure were simply like one person carrying a hundred jin of weight, then this feeling was like the limbs, torso, fingers, and even the head each carrying a hundred jin of weight.
Most importantly, the same feeling also affected the soul.
He now understood why even the weakest life forms in Divine Planes were Saint Domain.
It was not that every newborn life form in a Divine Plane possessed Saint Domain strength. Rather, life forms born in Divine Planes had souls inherently capable of enduring the pressure of a Divine Plane, meaning they already belonged to the "level" of the Saint Domain. So long as they developed normally, even without making any progress, they would eventually reach the Saint Domain level.
"A High-God!"
The soldier guarding the Teleportation Array had been about to explain the rules to Ailin, but when he suddenly realized he could not see through Ailin, his expression changed drastically.
