Background

Ailin is a transmigrant who retains memories of the original work. He initially lived in seclusion on a small island near the edge of the Brinia Plane, where he struggled with the difficulty of fusing Profound Mysteries and sought a route to greater strength. 1

A Death High-God attempted to enslave him with a Soul Seed, forcing Ailin to flee through a rift into the Brinia Plane Prison. There, he abandoned fusion attempts temporarily and focused on comprehension until reaching the High-God realm. 1 After another thousand years of cultivation, he fused three Water Profound Mysteries, returned to Brinia Continent, killed the High-God who had targeted him, and freed the victims of the Soul Seeds. 2

Ailin became the revered Old Ancestor of the Duncan Family. The family had gone a hundred thousand years without seeing him personally, and its standing in the Brinia Plane rested heavily on his continued existence. 4 6 He compiled a bloodline-linked battle-qi manual for the family and took particular interest in Ladd, whose heirloom proved to be a Divine Artifact Fragment. 7

Personality

Ailin is analytical about cultivation and power. His early experience with Profound Mystery fusion taught him not to underestimate the difficulty of reaching Great Perfection, and he later recognizes that his initial disregard for the Four Divine Beast Family and the Overgods was reckless. 1 48

He is self-reliant and reluctant to bind himself to stronger factions. He declined recruitment by the Blood Phantom Army and later refused the Augusta Family's offer to become an Emissary of the Light Sovereign. 13 87 Even after his rise, he remains politically cautious, concealing the true extent of his strength when it benefits his plans and declining Linasha's offer to introduce him to a Sovereign. 74 76

Despite his pragmatism, Ailin repays meaningful assistance. He returned Linasha's Sovereign Artifact after using it against Hamusi, protected Montro and Uman during Gaisreisen's attack, and repeatedly makes long-term arrangements for Beirut and the Duncan Family. 75 106 158

Abilities & Skills

Water Law and Profound Mystery Fusion

Ailin's principal combat strength comes from the Water Laws. He uses Ice Sharpness as the core of his fusion path, emphasizing destructive attack power rather than Water's usual defensive reputation. 14

  • Fused Water Element, Ice Sharpness, and Round Softness to reach Six-star Demon strength. 2
  • His four-mystery sword strike combined Water Element, Round Flexibility, Ice Sharpness, and Water Body Technique; the attack collapsed space before him. 29
  • Reached five fused Profound Mysteries before pursuing the sixth fusion. 30
  • Ultimately attained Great Perfection in the Water Laws and fought the Wind Law Paragon Keshrolao to a standstill. 98 99
  • His Water God Avatar was later confirmed as a Paragon by the Death Sovereign. 110

Soul Attacks and Death Law

Though publicly known as a Water Law practitioner, Ailin can affect opponents' souls and possesses a separate Death God Avatar. 19 20 63

  • Repeatedly stunned Blood Battle Stage opponents with a Soul Attack technique, allowing him to win ten consecutive battles through the same move. 20
  • Studied Andre's production of Soul Poison while having his Death God Avatar attempt the process in the Brinia Plane. 45
  • Reached the High-God realm with his Death God Avatar. 63
  • Later underwent a soul mutation connected to the Death Law, gaining the ability to actively perceive and cultivate Nether Power and Undead Power. 169 172

Sovereign's Might and Main God Power

Ailin acquired a Death-attribute Sovereign Spark and understood that refining it would make him a Main God. 3 His Main God status became publicly undeniable after he killed Andrew, the Black Tortoise Sovereign's son. 107 110

  • Perfectly concealed and controlled a drop of Death Sovereign Power, a feat that led observers to suspect he was a Paragon before his true status was known. 74
  • Was recognized as a Mid-level Main God and granted authority over the Abyssal Sea. 110
  • Can form Projection Clones from Sovereign's Might. 147 160
  • Became a Water Element High-level Main God after merging his Water Element Sovereign Avatar with his Death Clone. 170

Extreme Speed and Physical Combat

Ailin's movement speed exceeds the expectations of other Paragons. Keshrolao, himself a Wind Element Paragon, judged Ailin to be at least seven or eight times faster than him after observing Ailin's killing of Andrew. 107 110

  • Shattered Bensgodo's High-level Divine Weapon with a single punch. 32
  • Pursued Bensgodo from Blood Nether City into the Nether Sea and killed him despite his status as a Four Divine Beast Family elder. 34
  • Killed Hamusi, Shira, and Ennio in rapid succession after revealing controlled Sovereign's Might. 74
  • Resisted Gaisreisen's group's combined Innate Divine Ability, which could halt time and space within its range. 106
  • Consumed part of his own soul to counter White Tiger's soul-based Innate Divine Ability when conventional soul defenses proved insufficient. 166

Forging and Craftsmanship

Ailin can refine divine materials into weapons and armor. 13 14

  • Forged a Yan Jin Shi breastplate and a Zhanmadao after gathering Yan Jin Shi on Blood Spirit Island. 13 14
  • Recognized Ladd's heirloom as a Divine Artifact Fragment without attempting to take it for himself. 6 7
  • Upgraded his Flying Bird Metal Lifeform from a basic model into a high-grade Metal Lifeform using accumulated resources. 116
