Background / History
The Golden Dragon King was formed when the Dragon God was split after the war in the God Realm. He inherited the Dragon God’s destructive will and physical strength, while the Silver Dragon King inherited elemental control and creation. The gods confined him in the Forbidden Land of Gods, where nine divine chains bound and monitored his body 1 7.
Originally driven chiefly by destructive instinct, the Golden Dragon King gained a connection to Gu Yuan when the transmigrator’s soul occupied both his body and a six-year-old human body on Douluo Continent. Gu Yuan could shift his consciousness between them, though entering the dragon’s body exposed him to its suppressed rage. The body remained confined even as its power grew 1 7 20.
After the Sky Screen awarded Gu Yuan and Gu Yuena a Dragon God Origin Fragment, the Golden Dragon King broke the nine chains and attacked the God Realm. Guided by a trace of Gu Yuan’s consciousness, he fought with clarity and strategy rather than destructive instinct alone 67. Three years later, badly wounded but still fighting, he accepted his merger with Gu Yuan 68.
