Background / History

Frieza planned to destroy Planet Vegeta and eliminate the Saiyan race. Baros revealed that Frieza’s true battle power was 120 million, leaving Bardock and the other Saiyans unable to resist his Planet Destroyer Blast. 54 58

Baros fought Frieza directly on Planet Vegeta. Frieza survived their battle despite being severely wounded and blasted into space by Baros’s Mad Dragon Sky-Shattering Wave. Frieza later trained for more than a decade, allowing his final form to remain active without the suppression previously required. 346 571

Frieza eventually returned to Namek with Cooler, King Cold, and their strongest forces. He feared the appearance of a Super Saiyan, having inherited an ancestral warning about Saiyans surrounded by a golden aura. 551 571 580 During the resulting conflict, Dorando initially overwhelmed him as a Super Saiyan, and Frieza’s counterattack only temporarily reversed the battle’s momentum. Rather than immediately executing him, Baros converted Frieza and King Cold into sparring partners for the Saiyans of Divine Martial Battle Star.
