Lana happened to walk over and saw Bulma cheering, so she asked, "What's wrong, little sister Bulma? What are you so happy about?"
Bulma looked at Lana and said sweetly, "Brother Sun Yu promised to take me shopping! Sister Lana, you should come with us too!"
"Shopping?" Lana muttered, then looked at Sun Yu with dissatisfaction. "I say Kael, you haven't even adapted to one hundred times gravity yet, and you're already thinking about slacking off?"
Lana had been hoping every day that Sun Yu would adapt to one hundred times gravity soon so they could "return home in glory" and descend upon Planet Vegeta as powerhouses; she had been keeping her eye on the throne of Planet Vegeta all along!
However, Sun Yu wasn't worried that Lana would actually be angry, because there were two things in this world that Lana could never refuse: the first was delicious food, and the second was shopping!
Actually, this is quite easy to understand; shopping can truly be called a racial talent for women across the entire universe. There isn't a single female creature who doesn't love to shop. Of course, as a female of the warrior race, the Saiyan, Lana had initially been very resistant to the boring act of shopping. But when Mrs. Briefs took Lana into the East City Grand Department Store, Lana was completely shocked by the dazzling array of goods.
Especially after Lana witnessed Mrs. Briefs' miraculous bargaining skills, she was even more awestruck! It turned out that buying things could also be so full of the sense of achievement that comes with a battle victory. And so, you could see a wealthy socialite whose family was richer than a nation, and a Saiyan whose combat power would make robbing the largest bank in the universe effortless, haggling until their faces turned red over a coat worth a few dollars. It was absolutely mind-blowing!
"Sister Lana, I heard that the East City Grand Department Store is having some kind of anniversary sale, everything is fifty percent off!" Sun Yu winked at Lana and dropped a bombshell.
"Fifty... fifty percent off!" Lana stared blankly at Sun Yu. The next second, she vanished in a flash. By the time she reappeared, the training gear Lana had been wearing was gone, replaced by a beautiful and fitting casual outfit.
"Damn, that was fast!" Sun Yu scratched his head and sighed. Sure enough, in the hearts of women, discounted items are even more attractive than free ones.
"Haha, Brother Sun Yu, you go change your clothes too. Sister Lana and I will wait for you in the lobby." Bulma covered her mouth and giggled, pushing Sun Yu toward the changing room.
"Alright..." Sun Yu washed the sweat off his body and changed into a clean T-shirt.
To fully integrate into life on Earth, Sun Yu and Lana usually took the Briefs family's aircraft. After arriving at the mall, Bulma held Sun Yu's hand in one hand and Lana's in the other, the three of them looking as happy and sweet as a family of three.
The mall was packed with people. As soon as they entered, the noisy atmosphere rushed to meet them. A main thoroughfare wide enough for ten burly men to stand side-by-side connected shops of all sizes within hundreds of meters. Looking up, the seven-story building was teeming with people, an endless stream of them.
Many of the shops on the first floor were clothing stores, along with some specialty snacks. The street was filled with a constant flow of pedestrians, with shouts, cries, and bargaining voices rising one after another. To pass the boring time, Sun Yu bought a large pile of snacks and ate as he walked. If it weren't for the unique beast-men of the Dragon Ball Earth appearing around him, Sun Yu might have momentarily thought he had returned to his original Earth.
"Ouch!" Bulma, who was running around in front, let out a soft cry.
Sun Yu was still eating the food in his hand, leisurely observing the surrounding shops. Hearing Bulma's exclamation, he looked up and saw Bulma sitting on the ground, her shopping bags scattered everywhere, a look of grievance on her face.
Not far in front of Bulma, a burly wolf-man was gnawing on a beef leg, swaying as he walked without making any effort to avoid the crowd ahead.
Helping the fallen Bulma up, Sun Yu sent her to Lana's side, then moved his feet and appeared behind the wolf-man, reaching out his right hand to press firmly on the wolf-man's shoulder.
The wolf-man's movement stalled under the pressure of Sun Yu's right hand, and he turned around in a rage, only to find that there was no one behind him!
"Ahem..." Sun Yu's face flushed, and he cleared his throat. Only then did the wolf-man notice Sun Yu, who was half a head shorter than him.
It wasn't that Sun Yu was short; it was just that this guy was truly too tall. The burly wolf-man was at least two and a half meters tall, and Sun Yu had to raise his hand just to barely reach his shoulder.
The wolf-man looked down at Sun Yu, tore a large chunk of meat off the beef leg in his hand, and asked while chewing, "Little thing, are you looking to die?"
Sun Yu pointed at the teary-eyed Bulma and said coldly, "You bumped into my sister, and you're just going to walk away without a word?"
"You don't, by any chance, want me to apologize, do you?" The wolf-man looked at Sun Yu with a strange expression, as if he had heard something particularly hilarious.
Bulma looked at Sun Yu with concern, wanting him to just let it go since she wasn't hurt, just tripped. But Lana stopped Bulma. Don't let the wolf-man's large stature fool you; in this world, being big doesn't necessarily mean being strong.
"It would be best if you apologized. I'm a reasonable person. If your attitude is sincere, maybe I'll forgive you." Bulma was Sun Yu's reverse scale. If anyone without eyes dared to be rude to Bulma, Sun Yu wouldn't mind showing him why flowers are so red!
The wolf-man's eyes widened, as if he had heard the funniest joke. He held back his laughter and said with a slightly trembling tone, "You want me to apologize? Hahaha... I'm sorry, you might be a reasonable person, but I'm not! I'll give you three seconds. If you don't get lost, don't blame me for being impolite!"
By now, quite a few pedestrians had gathered around, squeezing in to watch the excitement. The visual contrast between the two was just too great—one was two and a half meters tall, while the other was only about one meter seventy. No one thought there would be any suspense in this conflict, so they all cast sympathetic glances toward Sun Yu.
Sun Yu felt that while it would be shameful for a Saiyan to bully an ordinary Earthling, he couldn't help it since this blind fool had bullied Bulma.
The crowd was already whispering. Seeing that Sun Yu had no intention of backing down, the wolf-man gave a sinister smile. "Heh, ignorance is bliss. It seems that if I don't teach you a lesson today, you won't know how high the sky is!"
After saying this, the wolf-man threw the remaining beef leg high into the air, then clenched his hands into fists and swung them like a baseball bat, smashing them fiercely toward Sun Yu's abdomen. The muscles full of explosive power made the onlookers scream in succession.
Sun Yu had originally been calmly watching the wolf-man make his move, but when those thick fists struck his abdomen, Sun Yu's eyes suddenly narrowed. With a loud "bang," Sun Yu was knocked back four steps by the wolf-man's punch, looking at the other party in disbelief.
Lana also looked at Sun Yu, who had been knocked back a few steps, with some surprise and asked, "Kael, what kind of act are you putting on?"
After all, without wearing his Weighted Gear, Sun Yu's combat power was as high as ninety-five thousand. With that kind of combat power, let alone an ordinary Earthling, even being hit by a missile wouldn't cause any harm!
Sun Yu didn't care what Lana was thinking. He knew his own situation; the force that had just hit him could absolutely not be something possessed by a species from Earth!
There was something wrong with this guy!
