Battle to the Fullest

"Hey, kid! I didn't expect you to get back up. Guess I underestimated you!"

The wolfman wore a smug grin as he looked at Sun Yu. He flicked up his wrist and caught the half a cow leg he'd tossed into the air earlier, looking as showy as could be.

"Hah, getting cocky now, are you?" Sun Yu brushed the dust off himself and grumbled inwardly. What the hell? Which one of us is the protagonist here? Going by the script, shouldn't I be the one showing off and humiliating that wolfman with the villain's face? Why isn't anything going according to the usual routine?!

"Kael, step aside. I'll avenge you!" Lana patted Sun Yu's hair, then stepped in front of him.

"Hey, Sis Lana, what was that look just now? I was only caught off guard. Don't tell me you all think I got bullied!" Sun Yu protested loudly, casting a pleading look around at the others.

Everyone nodded in unison. Bulma even comforted Sun Yu in her childish voice, "It's okay, Big Brother Sun Yu. You'll always be a hero in my heart!"

"Ugh!" Sun Yu nearly spat up blood. Are you doing this on purpose, you little brat? You know how strong I am. Have you forgotten who took down the Red Ribbon Army and Android No. 8?!

"Sis Lana, don't join in. Move aside and let me kill this guy!" Sun Yu rolled up his sleeves, looking ready to fight the wolfman to the death.

Lana stuck out her adorable tongue and stepped out of Sun Yu's way.

"Hey, you vile beast! Get over here and meet your death!" Sun Yu stood before the wolfman and pointed at his nose as he cursed him.

When the wolfman heard Sun Yu call him a vile beast, his expression turned cold. His eyes brimmed with unconcealed murderous intent as he said darkly, "Heh. Someone else once dared to call me a vile beast. Guess what happened to him? The grass on his grave is already two meters tall!"

"Oh, what a coincidence!" Feeling the wolfman's killing intent, Sun Yu was inexplicably thrilled. "Someone once dared to disrespect my Bulma, too. Guess what happened to them? The grass on their graves—uh, they don't have graves. They died without a place to be buried!"

Hearing their exchange, the onlookers thought they were joking and burst into laughter. Lana, however, felt her heart jolt. She instinctively pulled Bulma close, sensing that the wolfman was definitely no ordinary opponent.

"Remember, the man who kills you is called Ace!" the wolfman announced before springing forward and throwing a heavy punch at Sun Yu.

The punch came like a bolt of thunder. Sun Yu raised an arm to block it, and their clash rang out with a sharp whoosh.

The crowd stood dumbfounded. They never would have guessed that this slight boy could be so strong.

Sun Yu and the wolfman, Ace, both caught a fleeting flash of shock in each other's eyes. Sun Yu put aside his underestimation of the wolfman. Though he couldn't sense Ace's battle power, he knew the wolfman was every bit as strong as he was!

"I admit I underestimated you before. Now let's show each other what we can really do!" Sun Yu was puzzled by Ace's identity, but as a Saiyan, a warrior race, he believed that anything fists could settle didn't need words.

"Just what I had in mind!"

Ace and Sun Yu leapt into the air in perfect sync. Amid the startled cries of the onlookers, they landed on the roof of the East City Grand Department Store. Lana followed with Bulma in her arms, then stood quietly to the side and watched them.

They faced each other. Sun Yu vanished in a flash and struck a palm toward Ace's chest. Ace's expression was cold, giving nothing away. He raised his enormous wolf claws and crossed them in front of his chest. Sun Yu's palm strike looked casual, but it concealed a surge of force. Ace felt as though a mountain had slammed into him. He threw all his strength into holding his ground, and at last, with a bang, they each stumbled back a few steps.

This guy's battle power is at least as high as mine! Sun Yu marveled inwardly. How could someone this powerful exist on Earth right now? Still, this is exactly what I wanted. He'll make a good test of how much I've improved through my training.

Boom, boom, boom...

They shot into the air and immediately grappled. Sun Yu held back from using energy attacks because he didn't want to hurt anyone nearby, while the wolfman, Ace, didn't seem to know how to use energy at all. He relied on straightforward, brutal hand-to-hand combat, trading blows with Sun Yu on even terms. They moved at such high speeds that the ordinary people below couldn't even see their shadows.

After dozens of exchanges, Sun Yu and Ace stopped in midair, panting. Their brief fight had been exhilarating. Though they were both covered in injuries of varying severity, excitement shone in both their eyes.

"Even now, you still don't plan on using your full strength?" Sun Yu wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled at Ace.

"Hmph! You've got some nerve saying that to me! Don't think I can't tell—you haven't been taking this seriously either!" Ace spat out a mouthful of blood and rolled his neck, making it crack.

"I was afraid using all my strength at once would scare you," Sun Yu said with a grin.

"Heh. Then let me see it. Just don't let it turn out you're all talk!" Ace said, eyeing Sun Yu with amusement.

"As you wish..." Sun Yu bent both arms in front of his chest, hunched his back, and released his full aura.

"Raaaah!"

As the power within Sun Yu surged free, a faint layer of golden energy enveloped his body. The surrounding air grew heavy, and a low crackling sound filled the space.

"Damn you, kid!" Ace couldn't accurately sense the presence of ki, but he could still feel a heart-stopping power within Sun Yu.

From the rooftop of the East City Grand Department Store below, Lana watched Sun Yu release his powerful aura from afar, a meaningful smile appearing on her lips.

After a while, Sun Yu released all of his battle power—up to 95,000. The faint golden energy around his body had solidified, radiating a gentle glow.

"Watch out, I'm coming!" Sun Yu gave Ace a strange smile. Then his figure vanished.

"Damn it..." Ace couldn't see Sun Yu move. Sun Yu was simply too fast. Ace hurriedly searched in every direction, but couldn't find him.

"Damn it! Where are you?!"

"Right here..." Before his voice had faded, Sun Yu suddenly appeared in front of Ace. A heavy blow landed with a thud.

Ace's body flew backward. Sun Yu had hit him with such force that he crashed straight through the building behind him and slammed into the ground, leaving a huge crater. Fortunately, the spot was a landscaped area, so no one was injured.
