Seven Chakra Natures

"Shin, what are you thinking about?"

Kushina saw Shin staring off into space and couldn't help reaching out to tap him, bringing him back to his senses.

Shin had been communicating with the system in his mind, so to Kushina, it had looked like he was spacing out.

"Nothing."

A smile spread across Shin's face, and Kushina couldn't understand why he was grinning so openly.

"Liar. If you weren't thinking about anything, you wouldn't be smiling like that. You must have thought of something good. Fine, don't tell me if you don't want to." Kushina pouted unhappily.

Shin shook his head, his smile fading. He realized he'd been jumping to conclusions earlier.

Just as the system had said, Copy Cards were the limiting factor. Even dozens of Common Copy Cards wouldn't be enough to build up his physique to Might Guy's level when he opened the Eight Gates!

Besides, Shin had never planned to become a ninja who specialized solely in Taijutsu. Only by being strong in every area could he avoid weaknesses. If he focused on just one, it would be too easy for his enemies to exploit him.

"Uzumaki Shin. It's you."

Uzumaki Yan, whose physical prowess Shin had just copied, looked over at him.

Jonin had keen senses. Yan had felt Shin watching him just now.

Yan had no idea that the physique he'd painstakingly trained over more than a decade, enduring countless hardships, had already been copied by Shin.

In that respect, Shin's system really was absurd. Other people had to work hard for over a decade to gain something, while he could acquire it instantly through copying.

If Yan found out, he would probably hate Shin for being such a cheat.

But even without knowing, Yan was hardly friendly toward Shin, since there was bad blood between them.

More precisely, Shin had a grudge against Yan's son. Back when Shin still lived in the clan compound, he'd gotten into a fight with Yan's son.

Shin had broken one of Yan's son's legs, leaving him bedridden for three months.

At the time, Yan had stormed over, his eyes bloodshot, to settle the score with Shin. But although Shin was unpopular, he was still the Grand Elder's grandson, and Yan couldn't do anything to him.

"It's me. So you still remember me. By the way, is your son doing all right?"

Shin smiled faintly as he asked Yan.

Although Yan was a Jonin, Shin wasn't afraid of him.

It wasn't because of his own strength. To be honest, after copying Yan's physique and adding it to his own, Shin's physical prowess had surpassed Yan's. But in a real fight, Shin would certainly lose.

Shin had little combat experience, while Yan was battle-hardened. Even with a stronger physique, Shin wouldn't be able to beat him.

Just look at Otsutsuki Kaguya. Her combat experience was so poor that despite possessing immense power, she still ended up sealed away.

If Uchiha Madara had gained Otsutsuki Kaguya's power, he would have been able to sweep aside all opposition.

Shin wasn't afraid of Yan because of his own strength, but because of his status. Even if he was unpopular, he was still the Grand Elder of the Uzumaki Clan's grandson. Would Yan dare lay a hand on him?

"Hmph."

Yan snorted, silently reminding himself that Shin was still just a brat and there was no need to stoop to his level.

Even so, Yan was still angry. He glared viciously at Shin, then turned and left.

Since he couldn't do anything to Shin, he might as well avoid looking at him.

Shin wandered around the training ground for a while longer, then used another Common Copy Card. This time, he copied a ninjutsu: the B-rank Shadow Clone Technique.

The Shadow Clone Technique had been created by the Second, Senju Tobirama. But it was so useful that ninjas from other countries had secretly learned it too.

Countless ninjas in the Shinobi World knew the Shadow Clone Technique, including ninjas of the Uzumaki Clan. Shin had copied it from an Elite Chunin.

With his Perfect Sage Body, having the Shadow Clone Technique would help Shin grow stronger much faster.

Of course, what he wanted even more was the forbidden Multi Shadow Clone Technique.

Although the Multi Shadow Clone Technique was A* rank, it had been classified as a forbidden jutsu. Forbidden didn't necessarily mean powerful.

Jutsu that harmed or endangered the user were classified as forbidden, as were some especially dangerous techniques, such as the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu.

Unfortunately, Common Copy Cards couldn't copy A* rank ninjutsu. They could only copy up to B-rank techniques.

And even if they could, he still wouldn't have anyone to copy it from. Plenty of people knew the Shadow Clone Technique, but very few knew the Multi Shadow Clone Technique.

With three Copy Cards still unused, Shin left the training ground with Kushina. He bought some ninja tools and two sheets of Chakra Test Paper.

Chakra Test Paper was used to test a person's chakra nature. There were seven chakra natures in total.

They were Wind, Lightning, Water, Fire, Earth, Yin, and Yang.

Yin Release and Yang Release Chakra couldn't be detected with Chakra Test Paper.

"Why'd you buy these two sheets? One sheet costs a thousand ryo. They're so expensive." Kushina looked at the two sheets in Shin's hand, feeling the pinch.

"This is Chakra Test Paper. It can be used to test your chakra nature. Hold it and try putting some chakra into it."

Kushina curiously took the Chakra Test Paper and channeled chakra into it. The paper immediately changed.

The Chakra Test Paper split down the middle, and its four corners became damp.

"Kushina, your chakra natures are Wind and Water," Shin told her.

Kushina looked confused. She didn't know about this stuff yet.

Shin also took a sheet of Chakra Test Paper and channeled chakra into it. The paper split down the middle, indicating Wind Release. Then one corner caught fire, indicating Fire Release.

Next, one corner became damp, indicating Water Release, while another crumpled up, indicating Lightning Release. The last corner crumbled apart, indicating Earth Release.

Shin's chakra had all five natures: Wind, Lightning, Water, Fire, and Earth.

Yin and Yang couldn't be detected, but Shin had a Perfect Sage Body, so he definitely possessed Yang Release Chakra.

He also had the Sharingan, which was a manifestation of Yin Release. That meant he likely possessed Yin Release Chakra as well.

In other words, Shin might possess all seven chakra natures. That was certainly something to be happy about.

"Wow, five changes! Shin, you have five chakra natures?"

Shin smiled faintly, choosing not to tell Kushina about his Yin and Yang Release Chakra for now.

It was almost dark. Before night fell, Shin and Kushina returned home. Shin set down the ninja tools he'd bought, then went to prepare dinner.

"Kushina, what would you like to eat?" Shin asked.

"Hehe, I like anything you make, Shin."

Shin smiled and decided to make something extra hearty. They'd worked hard during training today and needed a good meal to replenish their strength.

They were still young, especially, so they needed nutritious food to support their growth.

After they finished their hearty dinner, the tired Kushina washed up and went to rest. Shin didn't rest; he continued studying Adamantine Sealing Chains, the sealing technique.
