Background / History

Uzumaki Clan survivor

Kushina was one of the few members of the Uzumaki Clan close to Uzumaki Xing Yu during their childhood. She initially sought to play with him, but ultimately accompanied his training and began refining chakra herself. 1 3

She studied the Adamantine Sealing Chains and Four Symbols Seal alongside Xing Yu, though the A-rank sealing formulas initially overwhelmed her. Her chakra reserves were already no weaker than an ordinary Genin’s only days after beginning chakra refinement. 2

At five years old, Kushina rapidly learned tree climbing and water walking from Xing Yu. Her refusal to eat until she had mastered water walking demonstrated both her talent and stubbornness. 4
