"Shin, you're running slowly because you're carrying me. Put me down."

Kushina, held in Shin's arms, spoke to him.

"Carrying you is no different than carrying a rabbit; how am I running slowly?" Shin glared at Kushina.

"You hateful Shin, to compare me to a rabbit!" Kushina gave Shin a light bite before settling down.

"Hey, little Yu, if we get caught, just drop me and run on your own. I'll buy you some time, but don't forget to avenge me later."

Kushina whispered to Shin.

"What kind of foolish talk is that? Do you think those idiots can catch us?"

Shin couldn't help but glare at Kushina again.

"We come to this forest often; we know it much better than they do. Besides, my speed is no slower than theirs, so don't worry, Kushina."

Shin had copied the physique of the taijutsu-specialist Jonin Uzumaki Yan, and when stacked with his own already powerful constitution, his physical stats exceeded even those of Jonin who specialized in taijutsu.

The speed Shin was currently bursting with was far superior to his pursuers. It was a pity he didn't know the Body Flicker Technique, otherwise, he would have left them so far behind they wouldn't even see his shadow.

Even now, Shin was leaving them to eat his dust.

"Host, you have triggered a mission: wipe out the squad pursuing you. Reward: one Advanced Copy Card. Does the host wish to accept this mission?"

"An Advanced Copy Card."

Shin weighed his strength and then asked the system: "System, what is the strength of the opponents?"

Although Shin had killed one with a single punch earlier, he didn't know their actual power levels.

"The leader is a Jonin, and the remaining three are elite Chunin."

Shin hadn't expected the system to answer, but to his surprise, it actually did.

Upon learning their strength, Shin decisively accepted the mission. If there had been an elite Jonin among them, he might have reconsidered.

But knowing they were only led by a Jonin, there was no question about it—he would just kill them.

Shin stopped running altogether.

"Why are you stopping? Are you out of breath? I told you to put me down earlier."

Kushina looked at Shin with great anxiety.

"Kushina, we don't need to run anymore. I've decided to just kill them."

"Shin, have you lost your mind? They are real ninja; how could we possibly be their match?"

Although Kushina knew Shin was very strong, compared to real ninja, she still didn't think they could win.

"Kushina, have you forgotten that I already killed one of them earlier?"

Kushina was speechless. Shin had indeed killed one, but that had been a surprise attack.

"Kushina, go hide first and watch my performance. I'll show you just how strong I really am."

Shin punched a nearby tree, and with a crack, the large tree snapped in two.

Kushina shook her head. "I want to be with you."

"Kushina, listen to me. I want you to hide so you can wait for an opportunity to ambush them. If I get the upper hand, you can strike, and we might still be able to escape."

Under Shin's coaxing, Kushina nodded, agreed to his proposal, and found a place to hide, pulling out her kunai and shuriken to prepare for an ambush.

Shin glanced behind him. Ninja had strong tracking abilities; following the trail he left while running, it wouldn't take them long to find him.

Shin rolled his eyes, leaned against a large tree, and panted heavily, feigning exhaustion.

If he could catch them off guard, he wouldn't mind.

Sure enough, in less than a minute, the ninja caught up. Since Shin had killed one, there were four left.

"Finally found this brat. I didn't expect him to run so fast," one of the elite Chunin said.

They were exhausted from chasing the kid.

"Captain, why don't we see the little girl?"

The lead Jonin looked around upon hearing this. Kushina was well-hidden, and since it was night, the Jonin didn't spot her tracks either.

"She must have run off. Kill the brat first."

The lead Jonin drew his ninja blade and walked toward Shin step by step. Having his subordinate killed right in front of him was a humiliation he intended to wash away personally.

Shin watched the lead Jonin approaching. His eyes brightened slightly; he had originally thought he could only ambush a Chunin, but he hadn't expected the Jonin to walk right into his trap.

"Brat, can't run anymore? If you can't run, then die."

The Jonin grinned hideously, though with his mask on, Shin could not see the savage expression.

As the Jonin thrust his ninja blade toward him, Shin activated his Sharingan and suddenly erupted into motion.

He nimbly dodged the incoming blade and delivered a fierce kick straight toward the man's crotch.

Given Shin's speed and the close proximity, let alone a Jonin, even an Elite Jonin would have been unable to evade it.

Furthermore, the Jonin had been somewhat careless; although Shin had killed one of his subordinates, he instinctively looked down on the boy because of his age.

The result, of course, was that he failed to dodge. With a sickening crunch, the target was pulverized, and the dignified Jonin instantly collapsed to his knees, letting out a miserable shriek.

With his manhood shattered, even a Kage-level ninja would have been brought to his knees; this Jonin could be considered completely incapacitated.

Although ninjas possess a high tolerance for pain, this particular agony was something no man could endure.

"I think you must be the most frustrated Jonin to ever die."

Shin rubbed his hands together to form a Rasengan; since he couldn't manifest it with one hand yet, he had to use both.

The Rasengan slammed directly into the defenseless Jonin, piercing straight through his heart.

"Taking down a Jonin this easily... is he really that weak?" Shin blinked.

In truth, it wasn't that the Jonin was weak; Jonin are the backbone of every major ninja village, and in smaller villages, they are the pinnacle of power.

It was simply that this guy hadn't even managed to display his strength—he hadn't even utilized a fraction of his ability before being blindsided and killed by Shin.

At the same time, this served as a reminder to Shin: in this dangerous world, one must never be careless.

Otherwise, the fate of this Jonin today might well be his own fate tomorrow.

If he were to be killed by a cheap trick, he would truly die with regrets!

Shin suddenly thought of Uchiha Madara, who was ultimately backstabbed by Black Zetsu and became the sacrifice for the resurrection of Otsutsuki Kaguya.

"Your boss seems to be dead. Do you want to follow him into the afterlife?"

Killing intent leaked from Shin's eyes as he stared fixedly at the three remaining Elite Chunin.

With the most troublesome Jonin dead by a sneak attack, the remaining three would be easy to handle.

The three Elite Chunin had yet to recover from the shock; they never imagined their captain would die here, at the hands of a five-year-old brat.

It was all too dramatic, leaving them unable to react in time.

"You used despicable means to kill our captain! We will avenge him!" one of the Elite Chunin shouted in fury.
