"What?"
"Is it over just like that?"
"Yeah, I didn't even see what happened."
"Shen Ye is the only one who felt it clearly right now; it seems we need to ask him properly."
"I think we should let it go. Jiraiya's goal seems to have always been Shen Ye, and we're just the background."
The surrounding chatter flooded into Shen Ye's mind, and he shook his head helplessly.
Jiraiya really knew how to cause trouble for him; his image, which he had just corrected, collapsed in an instant.
Now, it wasn't just the male ninjas who were full of hostility toward Shen Ye; even some of the female ninjas held a very poor opinion of him.
Only the few people close to Shen Ye knew that what Jiraiya had taught today was far inferior to the personal guidance Shen Ye had given them in the past.
Amidst the incessant bickering, the day passed by in a flash.
"Shen Ye, do you want to go grab something to eat after school?"
"No, I have some things I need to do."
Without waiting for the bell to ring, Shen Ye leaped over the window and landed steadily on the ground.
He looked up, waved at Namikaze Minato and the others, and swaggered away.
The classroom erupted into a frenzy once again, and the name "Shen Ye" was instantly pushed to the forefront of everyone's minds.
"That guy must have gained something very important and is running off because he doesn't want to share it with us."
Some guys started to get restless, wanting to follow Shen Ye, but were scared off by the teacher standing nearby glaring at them.
After leaving the academy, Shen Ye chose a direction and ran quickly.
Based on his understanding of Jiraiya, he would definitely be able to find him there at this time to properly ask what was going on with the Rasengan.
In the original story, the Rasengan was a ninjutsu that Namikaze Minato spent three years creating, yet Jiraiya had learned it in just a few days.
However, at this moment, Namikaze Minato hadn't even become a genin yet, nor had he had much contact with Jiraiya.
Following a familiar route, Shen Ye appeared near the bathhouse where he had first arrived when he transmigrated.
He circled the bathhouse and happened to see Jiraiya, that guy, with his rear end stuck out, peeking over a wall while letting out an occasional lecherous chuckle.
"I knew you'd be here."
Shen Ye stood silently behind Jiraiya.
Because he was so focused on his observation, Jiraiya didn't sense anyone approaching behind him at all and remained fully engrossed in his peeking.
"Strength of a Hundred!"
Shen Ye channeled the chakra in his body, rapidly gathering it into his right foot, and without a moment's hesitation, he kicked Jiraiya squarely in the rear.
"Ouch! Who kicked me?"
Jiraiya clutched his rear and jumped up, and the people inside the bathhouse, hearing the noise outside, quickly put on their clothes.
"There's a pervert peeking! Sisters, charge out and get him!"
The burly bathhouse owner ran out holding a broom, and Jiraiya, caught off guard, scrambled to escape.
Shen Ye covered his mouth and chuckled; he had let that guy tease him a little at the ninja academy, so he took this opportunity to teach him a lesson.
"Hey, little guy, did you see who was peeking here?"
"That guy ran off in that direction; he didn't look like a ninja from Konoha."
The group rushed off in the direction Shen Ye pointed, and Jiraiya leaned against a large tree, letting out a long sigh of relief; he had finally escaped disaster.
Seeing that the surroundings had completely quieted down, Jiraiya jumped down from the tree and landed beside Shen Ye.
"Little brother Shen Ye, thanks just now. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to get away unscathed."
"Hmph, I happen to have something very important to ask you. Let's find a quiet place to sit for a while."
Jiraiya nodded. Seeing the serious expression on Shen Ye's face, he knew it wasn't a trivial matter and that he had to answer carefully.
Silence. Neither of them broke the stillness until they reached a secluded corner.
"How did you learn the ninjutsu called Rasengan?"
"Oh? You mean that little blue ball? I've been able to use that for a long time."
Jiraiya shrugged, not expecting Shen Ye to be so serious about such a thing.
Once, while out on a mission, some ideas had suddenly popped into Jiraiya's mind, so he had quickly brought the Rasengan to fruition.
Shen Ye frowned and thought to himself, Could it be that my arrival has changed some of the rules and events of this world? I can't figure it out.
Jiraiya carefully recalled the process of creating the ninjutsu and actually found traces related to Shen Ye.
"Come to think of it, it was the very day you appeared in the village that those mysterious ideas appeared in my mind. Could it be that you're my lucky star?"
Shen Ye gave Jiraiya a fierce glare, completely losing interest in continuing the conversation with him.
However, Jiraiya's words confirmed Shen Ye's conjecture: his appearance had indeed changed parts of the ninja world.
Shen Ye waved his hand at Jiraiya and rose to leave.
Jiraiya scratched his head in confusion, still unable to fathom why Shen Ye had suddenly asked about those things; could it be that he wanted to learn them?
After leaving Jiraiya, Shen Ye strolled slowly toward his home.
"Shen Ye, what are you thinking about? You look so distracted."
Just then, the Ninja Academy had let out for the day, and Yue Xing and Meishang were walking home together when they spotted Shen Ye on the road.
Shen Ye snapped back to reality and looked up to find a lamppost just a few centimeters away; had it not been for Yue Xing's voice, he would have walked right into it.
"Is school already over?"
"Yes. You were just about to walk into that lamppost. It's a good thing I called out to wake you up. Are you thinking about Jiraiya?"
Shen Ye shook his head with a smile. In truth, his mind had been filled with thoughts of Namikaze Minato the entire time.
"By the way, how are those guys doing?"
"They've been clamoring to find you, hoping to hear about what Jiraiya taught you today."
Shen Ye let out a long sigh and slapped his forehead.
He had been so preoccupied with the Rasengan that he had forgotten how much trouble Jiraiya had caused him. Had he known, he never would have helped him escape the women's bathhouse.
Since he had run into the two girls, Shen Ye displayed his gentlemanly side and walked each of them home.
The sky had gradually darkened, and Shen Ye suddenly felt a sense of unease, so he hurried toward his house.
