Recruiting Zichuan

Already the Body Sect Master and a Level 98 Super Douluo, Du Busi follows Wang Long-Arm to Disabled Village after hearing about a child with Twin Heart Martial Souls and Innate Full Soul Power. He immediately declares himself Zichuan’s teacher, regarding the boy’s Body Martial Souls as a perfect fit for the sect. Zichuan formally accepts through an apprenticeship kowtow 4 5.

Du Busi tests Zichuan’s strength and examines the interaction between his Hearts of Life and Destruction. Recognizing their unusual soul-power capacity and recovery potential, he identifies Zichuan as the Body Sect’s hope of overcoming Shrek’s dominance. He supplies cultivation resources and personally takes him to obtain his first soul ring 5 6.

First Soul Hunt

Although concerned that a thousand-year ring exceeds a safe first-ring limit, Du Busi secures a Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear for Zichuan and watches over its absorption. Afterward, he discovers an External Soul Bone in the bear’s paw and gives it to his disciple without attempting to claim it himself 8 9.

The slain bear’s mother attacks, followed by the awakening of the 470,000-year Bear Lord. Du Busi abandons his bravado, carries Zichuan under his arm, and escapes the forest at full speed. Once back at the sect, he personally teaches Zichuan body-tempering techniques 10 14.

Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

Du Busi accompanies Zichuan into Sunset Forest and forces his way through the poison formation surrounding the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Despite recognizing that its Immortal Herbs could improve his own cultivation, he declares the valley and its resources Zichuan’s private property. Even he must obtain permission to enter or harvest, and anyone requesting an herb must provide something of equal value 16 17.

When the herbs reveal themselves as powerful plant-type Soul Beasts, Du Busi initially shields Zichuan. Their reverence for his disciple, together with Zichuan’s divine marks and exceptional abilities, leads him to recognize the boy’s dual divine inheritance. He steps aside to let Zichuan speak for himself but remains ready to intervene if the negotiations turn violent 18 19.

Zichuan asks the herbs to extend their opportunities to Du Busi and other Body Sect members. Deeply moved by this consideration, Du Busi accepts the eighty-thousand-year Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum recommended for his body cultivation. Succession and the Challenge to Shrek

Upon returning to the sect, Du Busi names the seven-year-old Zichuan his first-in-line successor. Du Busi later supports Zichuan’s wager to challenge Shrek Academy and travels there with him and Long Aotian. Zichuan’s encounters with the Holy Spirit Cult leave Du Busi furious enough to propose immediate retaliation. His disciple persuades him to avoid a premature confrontation with Ye Xishui, Long Xiaoyao, and the cult’s hidden experts. Du Busi instead continues developing Body Academy, including addressing its shortage of experienced teachers for non-Body Martial Soul students 103 104 105.

During the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Dueling Tournament, Du Busi intervenes after Cheng Gang attempts to rob his disciples. His pressure overwhelms Dai Hao, who apologizes and offers a ten-thousand-year Soul Bone and Cheng Gang’s assets as compensation. Defending the Sect from Tang San’s Group

Tang San arrives with Xiao Wu, Da Ming, and Er Ming, demanding access to Zichuan. Du Busi distrusts the promised “opportunity” and refuses to cooperate. When Er Ming challenges him, he prevents the disciples from joining the battle and personally answers the threat 166 167 168.

Du Busi reveals his concealed Rank 99 cultivation and overwhelms Er Ming through physical strength and superior technique. Da Ming’s intervention and the brothers’ coordinated assault force him to activate Golden Awakening and Martial Soul Avatar, after which he decisively overpowers both opponents 169 170 171 172.

Tang San orders his companions to withdraw rather than expose his divine power, then attempts to recast the attack as a misunderstanding. Du Busi rejects the explanation and vows that anyone seeking to harm Zichuan must first kill him.
